Great shots there that 777 wears the BA livery so well.
Hey Phil.
Whereabouts is there at LGW for shooting?? stopped on a layby at the end of the runway once, lasted about 40 secs before plod moved me on, and found a service road runs alongside the runway, but, didnt think i’d get much joy there… BTW we have a bit of an understanding still ongoing with the GLA cops/security. which has even led to the police helping to approve the BAA building a new spotters mound coming soon here.
Either on foot from the terminal when 26L is in operation, or where you were at the threshold of 8R. However if you want to take photos from the 8R layby DO NOT park there!! – Instead park outside the pub parallel to the runways and walk – if you’re on foot they’re not bothered.
Hope attached map is of use:

thats really interesting. i didn’t know that. odd for Ryanair to have boarding passes when they are supposed to watch their costs like eagles and cut as many expensive things out of their operation as is possible.
That’s what I’d have thought too but seemingly not!
RE quality the one’s I’m looking at now (ex LTN, STN) are on glossy paper – I seem to recall the actual card itself had a big warning about being offloaded on the back!
That’s all well and good but Ryanair do issue full paper boarding passes.
I think that scheme’s still in place at some airports – e.g. at Gatwick the signs are well displayed to ask spotters to report anything. And last time I was there the security guy parked up, said hello, checked the padlock and drove off.
How long’s the runway?
Will the new aircraft be G-LSAC & G-LSAD then?
I think you’d have to login first to download it.
All good things come to an end 🙂
Nice little report there 😀
Nice shots there – is the Virgin Nigeria still op for EZY?
Aren’t easyJet soon trialling the sale of legroom seats on the LTN-EDI route – another revenue spinner?
Some more good photos 😀
NIce shots
Hiya there welcome to the KP Boards – nice shots too!
