    Hi Dave T,

I owe you a massive thank you! Without the link you sent me in January, in response to my very first post on this forum, I wouldn’t have started down the PR9 route, so technically its all your fault !!!!!!!

    James,

tee hee… no worries. Always happy to point people towards available cockpits ~if~ they are geniune.

And as you say, Ross is ‘da man to talk to. And i presume he’s told you about a possible source for the nose also ?

Meanwhile i’ll keep an ear to the ground for your parts request/s, but meanwhile you might want to chase the hulk of B.I.8 WT339 at Barkston Heath for bits.

    Cheers…..

    Hi K225

    My colleague is happy now:D

We had an inkling it was blue through looking at B&W contrasts, but this confirms it

    cheers

    John

But he’ll still need to add RESCUE to the underside on the bomb doors. 😀

    John,

Alas Xtradecal aren’t infalable. Hasegawa have it as red/daglo in their kit, which i suspect is correct. By 1961 FM104 had its scheme changed to the more common upper white fuselage with red/white/red broader stripes.

Xtradecal also missed the fact the word ‘RESCUE’ is written in large letters on the bomb doors, thus….

    Peter,

Dave is correct, eBay is indeed the Lord Lucan of the internet.

Unless it harms there day to day cash cow/flow, they don’t want to know. Or if something is a PR disaster and they get the likes of Sky news hounding them.

    ” It’s elementary, Mr. Watson “

You could always have a trawl of “Seen on E-Bay” thread where you will find your man posting quite recently in reply to me.

This is the only recent posting i can find in reply to Andy’s….
