oh dear. It looks like a 4 year old painted it, in, as a previous poster said, MS Paint. The previous livery was one of the best around I think. Shame
Excellent shots!
You’re not really doing anything wrong. The skylight filter is doing what it was supposed to do – get rid of the bluish cast in images, and add ‘warmth’ to the picture. If you want blue skies, get rid of the filter.
🙂
I think this is definately got to one of the new stories of the year. The next BA order was always going to be ‘big’ news – in more ways than one, lol 😉 .
Fantastic news for Airbus. When do seats on the first BA A380 flight go on ebay I wonder?
Well thats very nice of him. One of the risks of puyting your work on the internet – its most likely gonna get stolen by someone, somewhere. Such a shame really.
There is so much building work going on in T1 and under the tower.
New security and shopping is being built ,the airport say they are spending £32 million.
How long after the new tower is open ,will it be before the tower is come completly,it must be in the way of future redevelopmentPaul
I don’t think we’ll ever see the building go completely. For one thing, I don’t think is very easy to get rid of a tower block that sits on top of, and is part of another building.
Absolutely stunning work, Rob. You have inspired me to take up drawing aircraft again! The Nimrod is amazing and the shadows have been drawn so well!
You have to go through a registration process, and I believe then you have to be chosen to take part from the endless number of applicants. There are a number of dates available through Oct and Nov.

efiste2, your best bet will be any morning – though the mainland Chinese 747 freighters tend to be early evening/nighttime. Currently, you shoud see: American = 1 x 767, 1 x757, Delta = 2 x 767, British Midland = 2 X A330, British Airways = 1 x 767, Singapore Airlines = 1 x 777 (not daily yet though), Etihad = 1 x A330 (until winter when they split operations to 4 morning 3 evenings), Qatar Airways = 1 x A330 (they have split operations per Etihad’s plans), Emirates = 1 x 777. Freighter = Cathay Pacific = 2 x 747 most days. Charter fleets vary, but generally 2 First Choice 767, 3 or 4 Thomsonfly 767, 1 Thomas Cook A330.
Don’t forget the US Airways A330, the Virgin 747s and the Travel City Direct 747s!
If you are looking to develop your knowledge and skills, the logical step would be to work on the ramp with the aircraft. You really will learn a hell of a lot being out there. Ok, so you have to work in all weathers and do shift work (although you are probably doing that already), but you’ll get excellent experience in return.
🙂
Teh return of Monkehzzz!!1one
Poor thing must have been hammered out of his stitches with all that alcohol!
Great shots all!

I’m not a Canon user so I know nothing about them, but I would say, looking at it from a general photography point of view, that you pressed the shutter button half way to lock focus on the aircraft, and then you left it for a short while before you actually took the photo.
Because the aircraft is coming towards you, the focus required will be constantly changing, so you took the photo when the aircraft had gone out of the locked focus.
Does that sound correct, or is that explaination a load of rubbish?
The Saudi shot is a stunner! How long has Asiana been flying into Stansted? 🙂
I became midly confused and bemused with the whole thing when I saw that the McCanns had gone to be blessed by the Pope, and had set up a website, charity, and merchandise, and had employed a publicist. A tad far/odd, don’t you think?
