thanks for the comments guys, here are 4 more:

thanks
Very nice! The Etihad and the United are my pic of the bunch. 🙂
Don’t believe you can get to the rotation point by car… it ain’t schiphol!
You can get to the rotation point by car. If you find the right place, you are able to park in a little lane about 50 metres from where you stand to take the photos.
An excellent collection, Adam. I really like the BA 320 shot – makes the aircraft look like its out in the wild and your airside. 🙂
Excellent shots Paul. I look forward to getting back to the airport with my camera sometime soon!
thanks guys! 🙂
Congratulations, Adam! I’m happy the job worked out well for you in the end. Can I assume we’ll be seeing more of you at MAN in the coming months? 🙂
Paul
Oh, I think that is more than 100% probable, hehe. Just looking at the weeks weather forecast…….oh…..more rain.
thanks guys!
Are you going to be involved in the new inter-airport-agency coordination scheme and/or EFAS? I think both are trialling at Manchester (might just be one or the other though I can’t remember) as I’ve had a little bit of involvement in these myself. They sound rather similar to what your job description entails!
Mark, I haven’t heard anything about that, but will let you know if it comes up 🙂
Its an awful sight. My sympathies to all affected.
I wonder if a state of emergency will be declared if it gets worse, or is that going too far?
I think we can almost guarantee that a certain budget airline boss won’t miss a beat and will make up some advertising campaign that uses the flooding to his advantage, lol..

As Adam said, dull weather or not, they are still excellent! 🙂
great shots Rab, the light is fantastic! 🙂
Awful news, very messy indeed. 🙁
Even worse considering that last weeks cover story in Flight International was “Accident Analysis:Flying Just Got Safer; So Far So Good”. Last weeks main story, then this happens. I saw the article last week and thought ‘oh dear’ – it really was asking for trouble.
Excellent stuff! You can’t beat a 757 or an EK T7 on day like that! 🙂
Lovely shots! 🙂 You’re not wrong about the air-race shot; class!
thanks guys! Dean, I celebrated the 13th. 🙂
