    Great shots Matt!

The woven Concorde is made of willow, and is the result of a commission by the airport to highlight its conservation work and to promote the new Runway 2 trail. The concorde was woven by the Rossendale Environmental Arts Trust.

Im sorry, Im being a bit thick at the moment. I’ve been on airfleets.net and can’t find where to get the information from to see which aircraft were born on my bday. Someone?

Thanks for all the helpful advice.

This how it is shaping up so far…

    LONDON-Dubai-Singapore-Auckland-Sydney-Kuala Lumper-Hong Kong-Tokyo-Vancouver-San Francisco-New York-LONDON

    …so what do you think?

IMO, I feel that theres a big gap between London and Dubai. Why miss out on some of the cities that are between the two? Also, is it necessary to go backwards i.e. Auckland – Sydney – Kuala Lumpur? Is it not more logical to go the other way?

This is my third attempt at replying to this thread – I don’t quite know how to write my praise of your photos, Sam. Absolutely fantastic. Expect an email soon. 🙂 Some of them, are very very beautiful indeed. 🙂

    Thanks rdc.

    Ok, some further questions then:

Are pushback tugs used/needed at the airport then?

If aircraft start up on stand, how is jetblast dealt with? the blast goes towards the terminal building and the roadway behind it (assuming there is one).

Becuase the aircraft turn around into position, and need space to do so, are the stands for these aircraft at LCY any wider than stands for similar aircraft at other airports? dimensions?

How easy would it be for other airports to adopt the idea of small aircraft ‘taxiing in, taxing out’ i.e. parking tail in, nose out? implications?

    🙂

    A really fabulous selection, Adam.

Let me assume that if you had taken a shot of the RYR Dreamliner, the photo would have been bigger than 500×333 so that it filled the WHOLE screen and then some, just so you could satisfy your eyes?

    Anyone interested?

Hell Yeah! Known about it for a while – only work commitments make it a little a hard to go to.
