Here are two photos taken with an Infra Red filter, which blocks out all but IR light. These are amongst my first shots taken with the filter, and getting used to the right settings and processing work flow will take a while.
The results is quite interesting.
not sure what the scary looking watermark type streak across this photo is:

On my way home from Uni today, I passed a lorry on the M1 which belonged to a logistics company called Panic Transport.

If it helps, its actually an An-26 🙂
An excellent selection of shots! 🙂
I don’t see how you could come to the conclusion that CRJs are the best regional aircraft around – and by that I mean I don’t understand how you can ‘rate’ aircraft and find a ‘best one’.
Yeah, what is written on paper i.e. the specifiactions of the aircraft may give you a first glance answer, but the issue, is it not, is whether an aircraft meets an airline’s needs? Each airline will need something that fits them best, so one model that works well and is the ‘best’ for one airline, won’t be suitable for another airline.
thanks for the comments guys!

I find that I at airshow events like this, I prefer the ground displays becuase they are easier to photograph, hence the majority of these shots are of ground displays. 🙂
I think that’ll be all folks! 🙂
Some great pictures there mate! Btw what aircraft is this? Would it be a B777 by any chance? and what livery?
Adam
hey Adam, its the T7-300ER of Jet Airways, in their new livery. 🙂
thanks for the comments guys!:)
Very nice shots Adam!! Just wondering if that Northwest tail is a CRJ-900?
It is indeed a CRJ-900 🙂

After the airshow, it was back to CDG, this time to catch an Easyjet flight to Luton. The aircraft arrived 25 minutes late, and was a 737-700. I managed to snap a few shots during the night flight, and I will get those on some time soon. Once we had got to Luton, we were unable to get back home until 9am the following morning on the first train out of the town. So, we camped in Arrivals and departures all night. In fact, we spent more time in Luton airport than we did anywhere else that day! The seats are incredibly uncomfortable, so getting any sleep was difficult. We eventually got back home at about 11:30 this morning.
All in all, a super day!
thanks 🙂
Northern Git: Glad PMN’s drinking habbits didn’t scare you!!
Scare Me? Pfff
It petrified me.

thanks
Fantastic shots Paul! It was great to finally meet up with you; I hope you werent too shocked at our behaviour, hehe. It may have been wet, but it was still great fun. Did you enjoy your Carling and Ginsters meal?
Incidentally, my IR filter arrived yesterday morning, I have yet to take it out and play with it.
Adam… You’ve just reminded me I need a trip to London with my camera for a bit of shooting around the city! You’ve also proved the quality from point and shoot cameras these days can be superb!
With regard to the polarising filter, you’ll probably see the most dramatic benefit when the skies are either clear or when the cloud is patchy but the sky is still blue and there isn’t a lot of haze. Did you order the IR Filter in the end?
Paul
thanks Paul. Yep, I ordered the IR filter, and it was dispatched today from Germany, so may get it by the end of the week. I can’t wait. Did you buy yours? 🙂
