    Great photos there.

I went to the seafront on the Sunday and the airport on the Monday. the Lanc was parked up near the ATC Lasham – it was ‘unserviceable’ and didnt fly at all over the two day airshow.

This aircraft should be in a Museum!

It is highly likely that the aircraft will return to Cosford one day, but right now, its doing a wonderful job as a teaching aid, helping to produce future aeronautical engineers.

Loughborough is extremely lucky to have such a close working relationship with BAE – it’s BAE that donated the aircraft.

very interesting plane. can you post the characteristics?

first flew in 1986. was built by BAe as a technology demonstrator – showing that new technologies in a future fighter jet could work. design led to the Eurofighter, and whilst it isnt the Eurofighter prototype, it is considered the grandfather of the Eurofighter.

    Basic specs, sourced from wikipedia

    General characteristics
    Crew: one, pilot
    Length: 55 ft 1 in (16.80 m)
    Wingspan: 34 ft 5 in (10.50 m)
    Height: 19 ft 0 in (5.80 m)
    Wing area: ft² ( m²)
    Empty: 21,900 lb (9,935 kg)
    Loaded: lb ( kg)
Maximum takeoff: 40,000 lb (18,145 kg)
    Powerplant: 2 x Turbo-Union RB199-104, 16,000 lbf (71.3 kN) thrust each

    Thanks guys, thanks Paul.

yep, the port wing has been removed (resting in the opposite corner of the room), starboard wing is still attached and present.

however, it works quite well, because it allows us views like this:

    thanks guys, pleasure posting them.

Superb, thanks for taking these. Might be worth alerting the modern forum residents too, at risk of inviting “Eurocanard” bashing!

might just do that. might sound silly but how do i do it? Ive never had a thread in two forums before – do i just create a new thread in modern mil just as normal – or can i do something to the thread so that it shows up in both forums?

Found an ‘unpainted’ texture for the Posky 7377, and took it out for a spin from Renton, test flight, and then back into Renton. ive still to complete the flight
