i believe that a few airlines have chosen this sort of thing, although i am not entirely sure.
In its current design, the Airbus A350 is to include a crew rest area below and behind the cockpit, using the space which was originally given over to the avionics bay. the newer A340/330 family also has the option.
so, its not really a new idea.
the idea, i think, came about when aircraft became capable of really really long flights, and when you have really really long flights, you need atleast 2 flight deck crews, and possibly more flight attendants. so, this is where the non flying crews go until it is time for them to take over the flight from the first crew.
before the manufacturers started to utilise these underfloor, or overhead spaces, the crew rest areas were behind the cockpit. if you put them elsewhere, you could probably use the now free space for more passenger seats – attractive to the airlines of course.
thats how i understand it anyway
🙂
its giving you IFR clearance on a flight plan, not clearance for takeoff. it is saying that you must start flying the IFR flightplan within 30 minutes, or you’ll have to re-file the flight plan.
You probably were at an uncontrolled airport (i.e. no tower) so the airport was unable to give clearance for a flight plan, so you got the clearance from a ‘centre’ somewhere.

Hi
these are shots taken using a program called Walk and Follow. it allows u to see new angles and perspectives.
if anyone is interested in getting this (payware) program, get this one, and not Active Camera, which is similar. AC is infamous for being full of bugs. Walk and Follow isn’t.

What’s up with the bitchyness? lol
ditto.
quit with the arguments, and get back to your joysticks – go back to what the hobby is really about – flying your desktop. 😀 😀
leased from Martinair I think ?
’twas indeed 🙂 . it wasn’t in VA colours for very long
Virgin Atlantic did use an A320 and A321 on a route to Athens – A320 from mid 90s and then replaced by the larger A321. the aircraft was in the fleet up to about the 00s
The route and aircraft was dropped becuase of a)9/11 and b) becuase the aircraft did not fit into VA’s future.
hope that helps
try moving the display sliders to the right a bit in FS.
IF those are your computers specs, then you have a very powerful processor which is let down by a (i dnt mean to be rude) rubbish integrated graphics system – i.e. you don’t have a graphics card as such – what you have is a graphics chip which is on your computers motherboard (if you know what that is). i would suggest looking into getting a new graphics card, and adding more RAM – an extra 256 Mb would be good.
also, you will need to find out for sure if your computer does indeed have an Intel extreme graphics chip. if it doesn’t, and it has a separate graphics card, then it may be that the Intel Extreme graphics drivers that your bro installed shouldn’t be there. i.e. wrong software for wrong hardware. try and find out what graphics card/chip the computer really is using. if it is something like an Nvidia or ATi card, then the Intel Extreme Graphics thing shouldn’t be there. if it is an Nvidia or ATi card, then download the correct drivers for the card.
i hope u can understand my babble, and i hope that helps.
EDIT – thinking about it, Dells do not tend to come with graphics cards – so it probably is an Intel Extreme Graphics chip that it uses.
go on to the Intel website, and download the latest drivers for the Intel Extreme Graphics
