but I just need to sit down and have a go….perhaps on Boxing Day when I’m fed up with turkey and booze!

    Martin

    lol

the problem with these new payware traffic add ons is that they include other ‘bits’ like an AI traffic viewer, a paint assistant, and a ai spotter vehicle, which i am sure will have an impact on frames per second and performance. this will be useless if you just want the program to be used as a no fuss ai traffic provider.

PAI isn’t much of a hassle. just download Lee Swordy’s Ttools, and then download the PAI installer, donwload some airlines, or the GA and vintage traffic in your case, and let the automatic installer do the rest for you.

with PAI you have the choice of which airlines to install and what GA and vintage AI u want to install. with a payware package, i don’t think you have that choice – you’ll end up with the airline traffic too. with PAI you can pick and mix – just don’t download what u don’t want.

the PAI system also allows you to add loads of ai traffic and new ai models and repaints manually from the massive freeware market available

    i hope that helps.

in the end, i would suggest trying PAI first – it is free after all – and if you don’t like it, delete it and go for one of the payware packages. much better than finding you don’t like something that you’ve paid for, before having seen something that’s free.

Why pay for traffic when you can have it free. freeware traffic from Project AI is just as good, if not better as something like Traffic 2005 or Ultimate Traffic.

it provides good GA traffic and vintage traffic too. 🙂

To be honest the plane looks real but there is way too much smoke, but as you said that probably looks more realistic from a distance

ok, sorry, i should have explained what it is trying to show.

its just landed on a wet runway and the reverse thrust is throwing up surface water from the runway. have a look on airliners.net for this sort of thing and you’ll see what i was trying to achieve – i obviously failed  🙁

    hi

    great shots everyone!

just one from me today, 😮

you can see that i have perhaps too much time. i really should be doing something more constructive, other than editing shots.

quick feedback would be great. does it look ‘real’ or totally wrong?

    thanks

(from a distance it looks ‘real’, but when you get closer….)

i should think that either the Afcad files haven’t been added properly, or (mostly likely) there are two scenery bgl’s that don’t like each other. do you have a third party mesh installed? if you do, disable it.

also, find the newest available afcad file for the airport.

if that doesn’t work or u don’t have a mesh installed, i don’t know what is wrong, so i would suggest going to the IFSD forum and asking there

    thanks 🙂

download the file, just move the .exe file onto the computer that you want it on, and THEN install it on the computer that you want it on.

as long as you don’t move the files once they are installed. it doesn’t matter if you move the file before you have installed it.

use a USB stick etc to transfer the exe file

    http://www.ifsd.ie/

the perfect site for you. a single automatic installer file installs cork, shannon, dublin, dublin city scenery, knock and and a couple more.

    it’s superb scenery

    🙂

    thanks
