    RE: Going On Holiday?

haven´t decided anything. I have ideas. I love travelling and cruising. So any cruise or any tour to China, Iran, Uzbekistan, Rusia, Lybia, Guatemala or Mexico. Any of these or other. It depends on my girlfriend.

    RE: SPAIN

It seems that with Seian we are three Spaniards over here. Good…. As far as airports are concerned I fully agree with Kkabelos in the point that three airports for Galicia are too much and Santiago airport is enough. As in many other parts of Spain, too many terminals, losing money and not serving the local communities. Only hub feeders, multiplication of flights to Madrid. The bad result, is that many terminals in this country are not always properly equiped, because money has to be invested and distributed in many others. The problem here is that all airports belong to the state and doesn´t apply a separete and individual policy to each one according to the regions demands like in the UK or other areas where the local community is concerned and involved in the development of its airport. AENA is simply concerned in cashing money…no competence between airports but with ground transportation. So they don´t care if the airport loses money or not. Big and effective airports alocate small ones. And other point is the political prespective. Too many ignorant mayors or regional politicians who want an airport in their backyard.

    RE: ONEWORLD (PLAYING FAIR??)

There a long time since Iberia had a HUB in Miami. Why is it allowed?. No idea. But its Iberia, not a codeshare. Before the A319 were sent, some DC-9 were transfered. They were the only DC-9 fitted with trasatlantic Sleeper seats for a short hop to Central america. But it seems that Iberia wants to close it and to transfer it to other South America country. All the countrias in the area are offering unbeatable conditions to Iberia to tranfer their services there. IB decission will go to Cuba, Dominican Republic or even Honduras. After the 11 sept, most passengers flying to the area, refused to fly AA and usually got Iberia A319 which flew fully booked. About why not using AA flights…..? good point. The hub is an old thing and Oneworld alliance is something new. In any case Iberia is having big troubles in Oneworld. IB passengers reject flying AA, specially in South America.

Well in fact Spanair is SAS….controlled by Scandinavians. They are behaving in an stupid way, canceling profitable flights, launching absurds links, service has dropped drammaticaly and the image is not as it was.

    RE: Alitalia

Never believe what one´s told. Alitalia is not better or worse than other airlines. It depends, one can have a great fly with nice crews or a bad experience. As in all airlines. I have flown about five times, and I have experienced anything particularly wrong. On the other way, crews image are great and smart and salads are delicious. MD are a bit cramped (not as much as in Spanair).

For Iberia is an advantage. Iberia don´t have conflictive niches with AA/BA: The North Atlantic market is limited and the Far East inexistent. So AA and BA help in these markets and Iberia (with the most comprehensive Latinamerica network boosts BA and AA conections to South America. On the other way, it´s one of the few airlines with a HUB for South America in the US (Miami) with the A319 fleet over there to conect Central American destinations to passengers coming either IB or AA to Miami from Europe.

    RE: Binter Airlines crash

Media and local residents have been acting quite foolishly critizing the plane, just because it´s small and a propeler one. In any case, nothing wrong was proved on the CN235 despite the accidents in which it has been involved. In any case, guys no more CN235 flying on the Spanish skies. Binter Mediterraneo has been purchased by Iberia Franchise Air Nostrum (the main domestic regional operator. In fact the only one). It has been replaced by F50 and Dash-8. The reason of using this aircraft is due to the sort extention of Melilla airport. The ausence of navigational aids (lots of mountains around) and the weather of the area with frecuent sand storms (coming from the close desert) and foggy days. So sturdy planes were needed. The residents wanted jets. Paukanir had regular flights with Bae 146 until one crashed against a mountain on landing (on the Moroccon side) so the airline disappeared.

should change the name and shift objectives. The world is a changing place and NATO should do the same. The object Russia is in this kind of incorporation (in betweens) is to keep them quiet and telling them…ok you´re are also important¡

    RE: Airliner crash

I have seen on the news the report of the crash and the rescue of the victims. No burns, no fire on board…..so the explosion happened in cruising. So let´s summarize. Should the plane had encountered a missile…..there would have been fire. A bomb on the plane; I would expect a pilots warning….Total structural failure..unlikely since the plane was checked by Lufthansa in a regular maintenance program. So I suppose something wrong with dangerous cargo could have occured or an explosion in the tanks. Just ideas. These are crashes which make you consider not getting on a plane for the rest of your life.

    RE: Airliner crash

But I am still suspicious about the posibility of a terrorist attack. China is not popular for terrorist groups, but Taiwan…….I don´t know. A missile which got uncontrolled is more feasible to me. Both Chinese are denying it too quickly….suspicious isn´t it?.

    RE: Airliner crash

Well lots of different things. The main one, TWA had a reasonable good safety standards and maintenance and China Airlines a terrible one. So anything could happen. I wanted to travel to China and these crashes are being devastating for my confidence in their planes.

    RE: Bush in Europe —

It was really delighful hearing his speech on Germany yesterday. I don´t really mind what politians say, but it upsets me when they build such a simplistic speech, because they think we are idiot. I espected something more creative and which goes behind to the usual stuff. Again things like….we love democracy, I want to liberate the world, we are good others are bad….and so on. Again here comes the Boogey man when talking about Iraq and giving arguments like….he´s not a democrat or he has weapons of mass destruction. He omitted that he is a bad guy because he´s not o friend of the US. Well the Saudis and many other countries which he supports are not really democracies and many non democracies are having weapons of mass destruction like Pakistan. He should forget his maniac obsession for thug Saddam (he´s really an asshole) because I don´t think he dares to move with such a control and getting concerned about what´s going on between India and Pakistan, which is a matter of serious concern righ now and are threating with using nuclear weapons.
