RE: Pic Of The Day-21/12/2001!!
Another one taken in my city airport. I hope you like it.
RE: Put your hands in the air…
EASYJET is great. I was flying to LPL with my girlfriend and she hates flying so she was quiet but scared. It was the only airline which one flight attendantant came to her to ask if she was OK. Great thing.

RE: funny stuff from SAS!
Well Kabir, I think it´s a good idea. Many passengers think toilets are too narrow and feel claustrophic staying inside specially in turbulences. I find that having windows people wouldn´t feel like this. It should give the impression of an open and more relaxing enviroment. And even in a toilet everybody would appreciate feeling fine and relaxed.
RE: MyTravel Airways
The name sounds a bit silly, but the colours are fine. I like new Britannia colours too.
RE: BA colours
Please, not again with this point. OLD ETHNIC COLOURS. New ones are boring, too patriotic and not creative at all.
RE: Airline food
Iberia food is not particularly good, but not terrible as someone pointed up there. Much better than airlines like BD or BA sometimes. The wine list is one of the best in the world. One o the main problems is that old DC_9, B727 and MD….now phased out had been taken the ovens away and only cold food was served. Obviously tastes are different but the prosciuto ham is superb, salads are brilliant and snacks fairly good. I don´t like AA stuff, any american airline Aer Lingus. The good ones, RJ, SR, AF, TAP, Avensa, Aerolineas, VASP, Corsair,…and many others
RE: Ryanair going transatlantic?
Bad idea. Transatlantic market a really competitive and fares are usually really low. Nobody can make profits at the current fares and even thinking about cutting them. That´s way there aren´t so many low cost carriers for long haul. Other point should be keeping fares low and having good booking conditions (no sunday rule, cancelations and
alterations permitted, one way tickets and so on). Most of low cost carriers for longhaul have collapsed.
RE: SAS ground more than 40 MD 80s.
It may be due to Spanish airline Spanair (belongs to SAS now) crash in Liverpool some months ago in which the landing gear colapsed. Accident report indicated unexpected corrosion in the landing gear.
RE: ALL MEMBERS
The magazine is great. Some comments. Being a British magazine I suppose the core of the contents should be British things. I fully understand. But having other countries reader I suggest a more comprehensive view of European aviation (airlines, airports….), More in flight articles (analysis of airlines), a place to ask things about aviation and be answered by people of the magazine.
RE: AMERICAN AIRLINES CRASH!!!
I don´t really know what to think about. I find certainly inlikely that a wave like had tear the tail off. I feel quite unusual a corrosion problem. AA maintenance is quite efective. I don´t find reasonable a manufacturing error, since the plane wasn´t new. Terrorist attack…hummm, I don´t know. I am confused, I have talked to an Iberia pilot (from A300) and he can´t simply understand a word.
RE: AMERICAN AIRLINES CRASH!!!
I have just heard that the FAA had pointed out before that the General Electric engines carried by the jet were “potentially dangerous”….If so, couldn´t they have done anything before?.
it´s crazy. This crash makes me think why I am so scared when Iam a plane and on take off. I remember the DC-10 crash and the engine falling down. This marked my life completely. In the eyes of a small child that was devastating. This has always been my deepest fear. I used to grasp the seat on taking off and counting 100 (someone had told me that after that nothing could happen). Now this fear is coming back. Sorry guys to have express that in public. In the third milleniun, accidents like these (if so) are completely unacceptable.
RE: Mirage 2000 Scare
Fighter jets won´t get inside the caves where Bin Laden and his followers are.
RE: AMERICAN AIRLINES CRASH!!!
Too sad, my sympathies to all the relatives. It sounds like a crash to me. An engine getting off is not usual, but can happen. Sometimes this happens and we aren´t informed since the plane should be able to recover. Too many coincidences with the AA DC-10 crash in the seveties. If a faulty maintenence is confirmed, I have to say that we haven´t learnt anything from the past experience. Let´s wait and see.
