Hi Yago….I am eager to see our royal air force´s brand new VIPS A310 on Madrid-Barajas tarmac. About new things in madrid, I want to answer you a couple of things. Have you already seem the new Cubana A330-200? Are they still using the DC-10?…and something about two exotic operators…..Have you seen the Iberline A340 from Logroño airport? (I suppose they are at T3. Is the new B747-300 from Pullmantur Air in Barajas?. Sorry guys, some local curiosity.

What politicians of all flavours don’t seem to realise is that the majority of people in this country want less European integration and influence, not more.
And do you know why the politicians do that?. It´s just a question. Wouldn´t it be that they know what it benefits the country?

aviation journalist at the moment. I worked for several airlines too.
Dozens of times. Spanair Link uses B717 in domestic flight and in my city airport conections to Madrid this model is used. In fact I´ll be flying in a couple of weeks. Well nothing dramatic. Like a refitted DC-9, quieter and with more roomy racks, and digital buttons (flight attendant call, and lights switchs). Seats are quite confortable, but pitch (at least in Spanair Link) is not really good. Lighting gives a really welcoming look.
The pic is just great, but I find the plane a bit too long. Like a flying pencil.

The quality of food is definitely getting worse in the UK – too much fast food.I do enjoy organic food (I find it far nicer) and my veggies, but there is a big price disparity. I suppose we do eat more things like pasta these days, so less fish n’ chips….but also more Big Macs and Bacon Double Cheeseburgers 😮
fish and chips are not a problem as long as they are fried in vegetable oil not fat or butter. Organic food….God, they are too expensive. Pasta is fantastic, specially prepared with “fruits du mare” or other fish, and fresh vegatables with italians seasonings. My sin…….sweets¡¡¡¡

Everyone is free to intoxicate with junk food, because we are clever enough to guess their consecuences in our organism. What I am concerned about is the way kids are educated at home everytime they see dad with a big bowl of crisps instead of a proper meal, or when mum prepares them sticky fries instead of vegs. Younger generations are being spoilt. I am also concerned about the amount of fat, the sweets have and how they eat them.
