RE: BA announce new routes from Manchester

As usual concentration on hubs and lack of interests in regional markets, in fact the fastest growing ones after low cost. The reasos is obvious, lower costs, concentration of resources, savings in crews and planes…..and so on, despite many markets want regional alternatives. In the UK, Eastern Airways, with a massive growth is just getting the BA crumpets and making huge profits. BA should realize that Liverpool is close to MAN, going back (not only to IOM) and don´t let Easyjet to get all the cake. And in any case, I am glad for Manchester Airport.

RE: Where is this aircraft now? Air Europa Express

Don´t confuse Air Europe Express and Air Europa Express. Both went out of business but the second was the regional branch of Spanish Air Europa and operated ATP. Most of them are stored in Zaragoza. The airline was closed down temporarely due to heavy losses at Air Europa. It seems that they always to open it again but using RJ, issue which oppose Air Europe pilots because they fear some AEA flights could go to low cost regional branch to be created. So I am affraid no more AEA Express in Spain

    RE: Had any snow yet?

Despite being the part of Spain with the worst weather, no snow here. We have temperatures between 9-14 in winter with rain, rain rain and wind. And in summer usually from 18-35 also with frecuent rain. Temparatures rarely go bellow five in winter.

RE: That ship in the Channel has been hit again!

PLEASE RESCUE THE LUXURY CARS…..I need a new BMW. Anyway, it´s quite bizarre since there are lots of signal in the area to avoid a new colission. And one more thing. The Aurora….as you know it´s a fancy P&O liner almost crashed in the same area some days ago. Crazy.

RE: What to do with North Korea

The debate is getting really interesting and with valuable comments. Probably what they want is a bit of love and affection and a place in this world. It´s probably a naive oppinion, but if they really want to join the world, and they don´t know how to do it?. The Koreans are having a fateful history, confronted in a civil war and maintained isolated because for years they have been the world powers chess board. Germans have succedded it, and do you think the Koreans will be able to do it?. I don´t think the blockage won´t do anything to improve the situation, since they don´t have much trade volumen to be affected by that.

Well Geeforce, of course Rumsfeld won´t admit in public that two conflicts at the same time would be a serious problem. No warrior shows fear or hesitation. Of course the US can mantein two wars, but it´s not easy, not in terms of losses, public oppinion, economic costs and so on. And the North Koreans know that, and that´s why they have choosen this moment for their usual blackmail.

You might be true Plawolf, that they only want “chocolate” but I still have my doubts about their real intentions. Think that having internal cohesionm despite their adoctrination technics can´t last forever specially after being aware that they are in a absolute terrible situation. I am not sure if the regime is cornered and sees no way out or simply is a blackmail to the west. If the first scenario is the real one, I see the situation much concerning as what happens in Iraq.
