James Bond is a classic for everyone in the world not only for Brits or Americans. I´ll definitely watch it. I was made is Spain. In Cadiz, whose streets where taken as a model to built Havana City.

RE: FINALLY!! Britain admits to their sordid colonial past!!!

I find that nowadays is quite simplistic bringing these discussions. Countries with a deep colonial past are not more or less evil to those submitted to a colonialism empire. Letting aside that colonial processes also brought positive consecuences, all countries, tend to exploit the weak, and the weak then to exploit the even weaker. Human explotations doesn´t have nationality. It´s quite senseless trying to judge other times with our patterns of thought. Times are different. The most important colonial powers were the UK and Spain….were they wicked?. In that time, they were thinking they were doing the right thing. Of course, we can´t accept colonialismm of course it brought abuses, but they thought they had a divine duty. And in the case of the countries exploited, I am fully sure they submitted the weaker neighbours before arriving the British or Spnaniards, French….Am I justifying them. No. Simply,It was the normal thing at that time, and different concepts and values. Like the slavery in the Roman Empire…..they had the strong preception that they could that because, slaves were things. So bringing this, to make a revindicative case doesn´t make any sense.

RE: And the worst songs this year?

Well Ketchup Song. It´s brilliant as soft summer song. It´s not a classical composition. I suppose the song has to have something brilliant, because being a non-english/american has been able to climb the first posts at the charts. Specially after coming for such “an underdeveloped country like Spain”. Come on, let´s us from time to time, to enjoy a bit of international success.

RE: FIRST SCOTTISH NO FRILLS AIRLINE LAUNCHED

Low cost are a well proven formula, which works if the basic principles aren´t abandonded. Debonair failure was due to this fact: leaving the low cost philosophy and trying to make a kind of hibrid thing which was a bit hard to succeed. The phenomenum is so clear that the regular airlines are adopting the low cost formula. Iberia is studying to operate only low cost. So the market is not saturated yet. At least in Spain we need a good domestic low cost.

RE: Luxair Fokker 50 crashes in Fog

Last news tell that the pilot was crying as he was being rescued that both engines failed. There´s a big groove on the land indicating that the undercarriage hadn´t been deployed yet and touched with the fuselage first. Most victims, died due to the impact. Remember that F50 has an upper wing position, and nothing under the passengers feet just a thin layer of aluminium. Other sources indicate a flock of birds. That´s is a bit stupid since birds don´t fly in foggy days. So….really confusing now.

    RE: Breakfast!!!

A big glass of mineral water first, then a small bowl of All Bran (or others with fibre)cereals with fresh fruit, and tea with something sweet (biscuits, sponge cake,…..). When cereals are not availble, yougurt.

Airport is a CATII. So it´s pretty hard trying to be landing in that weather conditions. I think is a clear CFIT, no emergency calls given, so normal descend. A faulty altimeter data?. What´s odd is that ATC hadn´t told the crew they were flying too low and that they weren´t alerted by the GWPS.

    RE: Airline food

So like the boring BMI salads on european flights?. Very healthy, natural, wholesome but……small portions?. A want a big tray with huge amounts of hot food. I do enjoy all meals in all airlines.
