Yes Geforce, it´s probably a bit exagerated, but just in case to prevent further problems. The rock affair is unimportant but the case has further implications. There has been too many years of hidden problems against Spain. All started in the seveties when Morocco invaded Sahara, accepting that they would make a referendum..now they just want to assimilate it. They have claims over the Canary Islands, over Ceuta and Melilla and the same day they wanted to go ahead to Chafarinas Islands (in which a Spanish fortress is built), naval units prevented it. So it´s a bit symbolic, and simply to show a line, where they shouldn´t go over. Nobody believes that these guys want to fight against terrorism or ilegal emigration (specially when we all know the Royal Family and many VIPS are implicated in this lucrative business). NATO has said them to leave, and this has been really apreciated by Spanish people, who have really felt unprotected.

BA and Iberia have already a codeshare in most of their flights from Spain and the UK. So would the new agreement mean that we would be seeing, for example, BA planes flying for IB flights?. That would be simply great, at least for me. As far as Alitalia is concerned, subsudies, appart from being unfair with independent carriers, are an artificial way to support an airline, which sometimes doesn´t serve the community, with public money. So no more subsudies for anyone.

In fact, nobody cares here what happens in the rock and wouldn´t mind giving it back to Morocco or even having the same formula proposed for Gibraltar, but the people weren´t amused at the fact of the militar attack. I hope the UK population express solidarity in this moments as we did with the UK when Argentina invaded the Faklands and isn´t glad for this crisis as exemplary model. SOme people could be killed, thats why I don´t like. Not the filthy rock. Sorry for the harsh words. 🙂

I was going to say the same. The German markets has always been too expensive for no reason. It´s time to end with monopolies. Some markets need that as well. In France and Spain would be great to have budget airlines.

I didn´t critisize Greece for defending their land, and I find that they were right. I critisized the manners, which like in our case are excesive and don´t contribute to a real solution of the problems. Did national pride help Greece and Turkey for instance to solve the ongoing conflicts they keep?. Soveranity has to be defended but there are degrees and scales. I find human lifes sometimes much more important than national pride, specially in the case of this filthy rock between Spain and Morocco. I find absurd our warship display to Morocco like the event in the Aegean sea. If human beings were much more reasonable with territorial debates most of these conflicts would have been settled. In our case, the preasure of the EU will be much more effective since the Moroccians would lose lots of economic aids. And in any case, things should be debated without using words like “arse” which is terribly inapropiate. 🙂

It seems that there was an unauthorized woman in the ATC, with the only air controler on duty. What she was doing over there is still unclear, but a full investigation has been stablished. It has to be found if she played any role in distracting the controler, or even using the only phone available. This is turning to be something really nasty.

Could all you stop with these childish threads. Europeans are happy to be european and Americans happy to be america. You will never get any agreement in this point. I have been reading absolutely a lot of unreasonable comments, insults, rude language and not intelligent arguments. I am really critical with the US administration but not with the americans, so I have never understood the term “Anti-american” what´s is being Anti-american?; Burning flags, boicotting Mc Donalds. Is being anti american being critical?: I don´t think so. I am not going to add more fire to the point. Just one question: And it´s about Iraq. We all know who is Saddam Hussein and his regime. If the country is so dangerous and I am sure it´s; why the US is not able to suply proves of these potential dangers?. We al know is a ditatorship, and what about countries like Saudi Arabia, Pakistan…and many others US allies?. Are we going to be attacking all ditatorships in the world. We all know, that GWB needs to be over his father and finish his job, just for personal reasons. Being completely monotorized by the US and British, does anyone think he could do something bad?. In any case, if the US finds that he´s a danger, nobody has given the US the role of the World police. That´s why the United Nations has been invented for. As in the Gulf War which was something really usefull and supported by anyone. The world is a big condominium where lots of neighbour live. How you image a single tennant doing what he feels like?.
