I’m assuming that these are air-to-air victories

I noticed on my Flying Legends Calender at work that in the notes for this month’s P-51 photo, there is mention of 4,950 victories in the air.

I would like to see new build Macchi 202’s.

Not sure if sourcing engines would be a problem though.

Do any original Chain Home tower structures survive to this day?
    Sorry if slightly off-topic!

    My highlights:

Chailey airshow (Ray’s show-closing Spitfire display).
First ever visit to Old Warden (Tutor and Edwardian stuff).
    Legends (Spitfire tail chase).

Also, joining this forum. Great fun.

    Low tech:

“The best way to shoot down one of the bombers is to forget about going for the engines, go for the strings instead.”

    High tech:

“Damn, can’t shake these CGI guys off my tail.”

Have you never been to a Rocky Horror Show late night screening?

    Exactly, that’s what I was afraid of. 😀 😀

Yeah, but no shouting out quotes throughout the film! (Look at the Hello Rabbit Leader thread).

    Quinny, How did it go?

The weather wasn’t brilliant on Saturday, but I did see her to the north of Leicester at about 11:45, flying below the clag and drizzle.

    Hope it went well.

…And it is hoped a formation of 51 of them will be flying at Reno in 2006!

I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t interested in aviation. I am not sure what triggered it off all those years ago.

My parent’s house still has a surviving piece of my ‘wall art’; a small outline of a ‘plane which I doodled in pencil on the outside underneath the kitchen window!

This must have been sketched when I was about 4 years old and has survived to this day. 😀

    Paul
