Just curious, were the Luftwaffe members shot down over Great-Britain treated this way?

    These two were.

This is what I have found.

B17 42-97072 Pilot Harris Robert 544 sqd Mid air collision 1st Aug 44.

    B17-107224 pilot Jung Howard A 544 sqd crashed 3rd Aug 44.
Believed to have hit trees in flight.

B17-31516 Pilot Sidney R. Jeter, co pilot George F. Schutz, Jr.
Mid air collision 22nd Feb 44.
But two survived, Navigator W. Baily and bombardier K. Swanson.

Snag could be that the guard did not know the full facts of the crash.

When one went off I should imagine šŸ˜€

8th Sept 1915, 4 killed 2 civilians and 2 soldiers in the raid.

What I cannot understand however is what use would it have been if the Allies had captured the Enigma code machines or code books; don’t you think that the Germans would have noticed?

If the plan had worked I’m sure the buildings where the enigma machines had been taken from would have been destroyed, set on fire etc.
This would have given the Germans one big headache.

1.Do we know a 100% that the Allies have got our machines and codes?
    2.Can they crack them?
3.Any messages we send to any of our forces, are they being read?
4.What new code system can we use?
5.How long will it take to put in place?

The Allies did get the machines and all the codes how would they be used?
1.Read all the German messages and act on them?
2.Read all the German messages do nothing to fool the Germans into thinking, nothing was taken.
3.Act on a few message to keep the Germans thinking have they or have they not got them.

Which ever way it went it would be good for the allies, as they were good at deception.
    For example Operation Fortitude.

Isn’t this the guy that people asked for a petition to be signed for, and in the petition they waved the race card around and similar crap? Also I believe the reason for the denial of citizenship was as he had a military conviction for fighting, supposedly involving a knife?

Based on use of the race card I won’t be signing.

PPP. I have no idea if this is the same person whom you are refering to, I just read the story that the telegraph printed, looked at the petition and signed it.
In my opinion this chap is getting a raw deal when so many others can get a citizenship without putting in 13 years in the Army.

I also respect the decision of any person to sign or not sign.
But would like to remind people that we only have that choice, due to people who have served and those willing to in the forces.

    p.s. 12400 signatures so far.

It was in the news Aug last year.
A large crowd that included a special royal guest were on hand yesterday (Wednesday) at Sizewell beach to greet six people who commemorated the 70th anniversary of the bravery of two brothers from the Netherlands who fled their Nazi-occupied country by rowing across the North Sea.

Betty Peteri-Peet, the widow of Henri Peteri who died in 2007, officially unveiled the sculpture in June 2009, and her son Neils was present to greet the successful rowers.

Even with todays backup boats, only three made it across, So it must have been a horrendous journey 70 years ago.

just had a word with a chap who knows about these things. This is what he said.
(Guess what first time I tried to post it It froze.)

Issues like that are normally down to what version of Internet Explorer is being used – I have a lot of customers have strange issue such as that if using version 9 – and they have found reverting back to version 8 solves it – but saying that it seems a lot of people are using version 8 already – so it could be that the website is designed for version 9 and upgrading to that will solve it

If not the normal procedure would be to disable all add-ins and toolbars from Internet Explorer to see if it is one of them conflicting – this can be done by opening IE, clicking tools, internet options and then on the advanced tab choosing restore advanced settings and then clicking reset – finally restart computer and see if it then works okay

And as for the virus programs mentioned, I would definitely avoid Norton – and having more than one installed will definitely cause problems as they basically cancel each other out – AVG is the best, as confirmed in various official tests and also one I did myself recently and published on my website.
