Yes I am a member of the Birmingham forum but it has not revealed anything new to date. I have included in the written version of the story some of the strings as they are part of the post story. Thank you for your continued interest. Mike

Hi. Good to know you have accessed the story. I am putting together a fuller story in written for which I am happy to post a link to in time as the story is still evolving. I would like to communicate with Simon p as I have been trying for several years to track down Fred relatives as no doubt they have additional information, particularly photographs. I would like to put a photo story together to accompany the sound file. Can any one help? Mike

    Hi

My father was Leonard Bracey who helped build Wagtail and subsequently flew it in the late 1940’s . The various post on the forum are only part of the story and I guess with the passage of time errors in the telling have crept in. My father wrote a full history of the Wagtail story and recorded the story in the late 1980’s. Over the pandemic I have written this story up and added further information as a consequence of my research. I also digitised the cassette recording my father made and this is available to hear http://www.bracey-online.com/storyofwagtail.php
