Really? You’re going to persist with this stuff? For doing so, you have now earned an infraction for being disruptive.

For the rest of you, now that you’ve gotten it out of your system this thread will be cleaned at some point today to get rid of all of the off-topic bits.

That’d be another thing I forgot to explain, sorry. Disruptive behavior is classified as incessant trolling or flaming that doesn’t have to fall into one of the other categories. This was created specifically to enable the targeting of new users who join the forum with an agenda and to allow us to begin a massive culling of those users who are causing constant problems to the detriment of the forum.

This is the solution I alluded to a few weeks ago, it’s now been incorporated into the forum. Had people not decided to overreact, they probably would have noticed in a couple of days that most all of their problems have miraculously been obliterated…

Disruptive behavior will now get you two points, meaning an automatic month of leave from the forum.

Modernizing the Su-25 makes sense, it has performed well when needed. If Russia wanted to go postal on the Chechens it would seem like an ideal platform. The Su-24 upgrade will keep their strike fleet viable as the Su-34 begins to be fielded in increasing numbers.

So they should end up similar to the Yemeni SMTs then, which apparently don’t have the tanks?

I’ve made a suggestion an hour or so ago to change the infraction system to add a category for disruptive members, we’ll see what comes from that. As for the rules, what’s wrong with them? Don’t know how they were drawn up initially or by whom but they are pretty comprehensive. The infraction system doesn’t replace the code of conduct, it merely provides an avenue towards removing a user. Maybe I didn’t make that part clear enough. The “inappropriate language” bit is meant to cover points 5, 10, and 11 in the Code of Conduct. Part of point 5 is covered by “insulted other member”. Is that a bit clearer?

As for legal issues, point 4 does mention legal action against copyright infringement, and point 11 covers threatening messages directed against another member, although that one doesn’t mention a legal response (I assume that’s the responsibility of the victim to bring charges in that case). In any case we can still ban a member under the Code of Conduct without using the infraction system. This is just a feature of the forum being exploited to streamline part of the moderating process.

Banning all the moderators? Really?

I have the v9.5 Pentagon upgrade… haven’t you used it?
It clearly shows the WMDs in Iraq and that there be dragons in Iran and NK and Cuba…

Your imagery must be corrupted, the only dragons to be seen are in China, and they’re quite vigorous 😀

Jamming signal generation/emission/replication/imitation

Sounds like a DRFM system, which can be bad news indeed.

why just the Russians….?

To paint the Chinese as inferior, where have you been?

Old thread, and inaccurate…I don’t think that any of the SMs were put into service way back then. The few built remained as trials aircraft at Zhukovskiy. Some really nice paint jobs too. But hearing the designator thrown back about has me wondering if it is a new upgrade program, the old SM program, or just the SMT program without the CFT.

the reason this Buraidiah posted the image of Dr Subramanyam was to belittle his looks

A few of you have mentioned that now, and I have to confess that I don’t get it? I saw that he made a comment seemingly referring to the guy’s ego or something with all of the use of “I” in the interview…whatever. Then there’s the image. Where are you getting that he was insulting the way the guy looked?

Is this the SMT upgrade but without the T, or something different?

Sounds like a prospective platform for the new carriers they want down the road maybe. No sense fast-tracking it just to refit the Kuznetsov’s airwing with other, more pressing projects like PAK-FA needing the cash.

how u design radar for something for which you dont know the Nose size, volume, power supply/cooling requirements and than giving range figures. or it is just randome guess.. This company is not only involved in airborne radars but space radar and helicopter radar sets also with China.

Eh what? How is that a response to my statement?

Integration Chinese can do by themselves but design requirements

So China can’t design a radar system now, is that it?

surely

Well who made it then? NIIR or NIIP? What model is it? When was it delivered? Surely you have some evidence of all of this.

If you insult another member’s family, you are still personally attacking that member and are not playing by the rules. That should be obvious. Is there something specific that you’re trying to get at here?

I understand all of that, but the array literally is identical to the Phazotron example. To the last detail.
