There is an Aerofax volume on the Tu-95/142, if you can find it in print. It’s a pretty decent writeup, I’ve had a copy for a few years now.

Frank, I’ve been using a Dell Inspiron E1705 for a few years now, and I’ve never had a problem with it. It’s a pretty decent laptop with a 256MB graphics card, I don’t even have a desktop any more because it’s worked so well. I will advise anyone buying a laptop to get an external USB hard drive though. I have a 100GB external drive that I constantly save everything onto. All of my files reside there, there is almost nothing on the laptop itself. That way, if you have to do a system reinstall or replace the computer, you still have all of your work.

See? That’s the problem right there. Many sources claim the FOXHOUND needs what has been described as a “datalink pod” to employ the R-40. Somebody call OKB Vympel and sort this out 😀

The Zune plays videos, pictures, podcasts, and has a built-in radio and wireless transmitter to send stuff to other people.

Zune also works well with the XBox 360, I don’t know if you can plug an iPod into it (I’ve never tried, it may very well work).

Between the wife’s iPods and my Zunes, I will say that the Zunes have better picture quality for videos. Plus, their control thing is nowhere near as problematic as that used by the iPod (the dial whatever). I’ve had to replace a few of her iPods because the control dial thing has failed.
