You can’t see anything from the hotel except departing aircraft once they’re quite high – and quite a long way away. Unfortunately you can hear them though.
2) Yes it is easy to get to terminal building. There’s a bus stop in the Cargo Centre opposite the hotel. Walking is nice on a good weather day – took may about 30 mins.
One could say that 2 hour delays are nothing but normal at LGW:o;). Glad though to see everything was fixed relatively quickly.
Great shots – crisp and sharp. Well Done :).
Barbarella is looking lovely there! Good shots!:)
Like Sam I’d never heard of ‘Smart Wings’ before viewing these images. It was operating for Jet2 yesterday.
Nice shots, Lance.
Excellent photos, Gary. My favourite is the NW A330 :).
Blimey! Great shots from a phone cam, Paul. 🙂

-Gatwick’s got a new route to Seville operated by Clickair – never even knew about that route.
-Jet2’s BAe 146 Newcastle service starts this evening
-BA’s first flight to Sarajevo took off at 0820 this morning & the first Dresden service arrives back at 4.30 today.
-Sterling’s first Stockholm service takes off tonight.
Obviously the BACON/Flybe merger has added/changed a few flight codes as well.
Excellent shots from Newcastle – the moon makes the first one look good:).
Brilliant photos! 😮 😀
Very good shots, Gary. 😀
That’s sooooo annoying when they get the weather forecast so hideously wrong. 🙁
Good shots though.
Languages are so important to learn, I believe, so I’m glad the UK goverment is making them compulsory for Primary School pupils. I still think they should make at least one MFL compulsory to GCSE level, though.
I’m studying German A-Level at the moment, like philgatwick05, and did French to GCSE. Both achieved at A* level. Regrettably I haven’t used my French since then so I guess my knowledge of it has started to fade, but German is fab!
