I hate the names we gave ’em… they sound stupid (yes, even to Hebrew speakers).
Did you know that the Phantom is called ‘Kurnas’? brrr… ugly.

Nice pix though. I always like to see aircarfts in action.:)

A pic from the IAF museum:
(lets see hoe many aircrafts you can find…:D )

But let me tell you this, as a Jew (theif, by your words), as a person who believes in democracy, if there’s a thing that I’m afraid of the most, it’s the fall of the US.
I won’t even think about it in my worst mightmares. I believe I’m totaly pro-American, not anti-American.

I just hope I won’t meet you in a dark alley.

It is a fact that Israel is getting these aircraft for free from the US, and people comment on that. Things got a bit more emotional when Erez claimed that the US should be happy for Israel recieving those aircraft…

    Regards,

I’m not dismissing criticism, and I also don’t care to see complains against Israel, really.
I just thought that there might be a thread without all of it (and I mean both sides).

If the words are powered by hate (like acfan’s), they miss the target even if their contents would be somewhat acceptable (such as the remark about influence on media and moviemaking)..

    agreed. 🙂

A thread like this can hardly go on without touching politics.. It has started as politically-smelling and it will end the same way.. Actually, modern military aviation is also about who supports who, who picks which product, tenders, offset programmes, all this is tied up tightly with politics. As long as facts and not lies are presented, as far as no a**holes and idiots and similar names are flyin around, why not? Got a problem with truth, mate?

    Perhaps you’re right.

On the other hand, after looking at acfan2003’s messages, I don’t think so.

@ acfan2003, I wanted to stay out of this, but your post just disgusts me.

yeah I’m also surprised by this…
I don’t know if I should laugh or cry – almost ALL threads here involving Israel turned to some kind of a blame-game (I’m trying to stop myself from joining it…).
    Isn’t this a Military Aviation forum? Jeess….:P

I’m a fan of the six day war. really…

As I remember, almost all of the Arab aircrafts weren’t shot down, they were caught on the ground.

I think they used Shafrir, and from what I read it wasn’t so good at all.

Zionism doesn’t put jews above all.
    There are christian zionists.
There Arab zionists, Arabs who love Israel, Arabs who serve in the IDF, that are Israeli citizens.
I’d also like to see your sources about zionism, PLA.

That small off-topic statement made me go crazy!

    And that’s a false statement.
Do the arabs in Israel live in concentration camps?
No, they live like every jew here, and same for christians.
Did you know that Israel is the only country in the world where the signs are written in 3 languges – Hebrew, Arab, English?
The fact that the Palastinains use terror (which can’t be justified), even if it’s a small part of them, thus making the IDF pur roadblocks near their cities, doesn’t mean that Zionism is even close to racism.
From Israel, you hear voices, you hear that people criticize the government, you hear the statements of other parties, but from the other side you can only see the fanatics marching in Gaza with AK-47’s, and if someone opens his mouth he could get shot or executed in the main square.

Zionism and racism… Pfffft… Don’t go down that road.

PLA, you’re talking like there’s only one side to this conflict.
There’s no point of even replying to your message (concentration camps!? wtf!?).
