Thanks for that – after googling and reading up more that’s quite a stunning restoration – not a replica…. 🙂

Apologies for adding to this, but it’s the most relevant thread I could find…
Any idea who owns this one appearing at War & Peace show this year?
(Appears right at the start of the Video Clip)
I just love the sheer presence of it

I would hope for a more permanent ‘flight’ basis, but yes I have seen several combinations done to great effect (Kemble’s signature formations have been the inspiration for my thoughts).
Just look at the classic/heritage aircraft currently flying in the UK, obviously including quite a lot of privately owned items. Yes there are issues with formation flying mixed types from current military and private operated ones but the idea could be done given the right attitude from the powers that be, and the finances to do so?
Off the top of my head, and a lot based on seeing what’s out there that conveys the RAF’s Heritage to me as an ex-brat:
Props:
Spitfire / Hurricane
Tiger Moth
Chipmunk
Bulldog
Tucano
Jets:
Meteor
Hunter
JP
Hawk
Tornado
Typhoon
Heavies:
Lancaster
Vulcan
Hercules
VC10
Rotary:
Gazelle
Sea King
Merlin
Puma
All currently airworthy types (well for as long as we have VC 10’s:() so as a theory it is possible?
It’s just one of those ideas that has been stuck in my head for a long time…

Remarkable comparison between the Sopwith Camel and the Spitfire – how different things became in such a short period of time….. 😮

Hi Hunter, the warning shows a redirect not a pop-up warning. 🙂
In the past, some of the ads I used to get hit with (not on this site) were re-directs embedded….
That’s why I asked 😉

I’m using Firefox 7.0.1 and wonder have you got the Pop-up blocker disabled? I don’t have any ad’s as I use Ad-Blocker anyway, but your warning message may be saying it won’t open any pop-up ad coming from any banner adverts used…
I’ve added a screenshot of the tab under “Options” from the “Tools” menu in Firefox to show you what I mean!
