Have to agree about the Mustang and Vampire shots leaping out at you – quite stunning…. well done!

Agreed, very good show i thought.
Good to see the Vulcan, but shame they missed the oppurtunity to have Lanc’ and Vulcan together even if only for one pass. Instead they put a JayPee in between and he nearly fluffed it ! 😮
Look forward to seeing more great photo’s. :D.

Glad to hear that you enjoyed it….
With regards the Vulcan / Lancaster – well I’m sure that had it been possible, it would have happened, but the Lanc had other displays to do and was routing in to Kemble. The Vulcan was carrying out a display authorisation at Kemble amidst the other appearances that day (the DA checker was @ Kemble that day), so flying a formation was a no-no….

Besides, who does the car park belong to? The RAF I assume? Doesn’t this raise an interesting issue? Charging money to park your car on land that, as taxpayer, you’ve already paid for. Sweet.

Interesting point – although I doubt the answer will be easy to find….

Personally I too think it’s a bit “back door”

Aye Baz – one of quite a few I have bookmarked actually….. 😉

There’s something nice and nostalgic about our Hawks in cammo – same with our JP’s 😀

😀 Terrific shots from Brawdy mate – brings it all back…

must have felt strange being on the line on a Saturday – really quiet compared with the average weekday…..lol
Just think – 1 month later and I arrived by old RAF bus to a fog-bound Brawdy – not knowing the sea was even that close….lol

🙂 Yep – both good programmes indeed – also just watched the 40minutes special on “Suckling Airways” (now known as Scot Airways) which was equally fascinating to watch as a follow up to a documentary filmed 20 years before….

    Good evening for aviation TV!

I quote; ” The initial assessment shows the helicopter has suffered extensive damage “. I think one look at it would tell them that.

I bet that’s exactly what they did – took one look at it and thought “Oh b*gg*r” 😮 (or words to that effect)

I was under the impression that “Winston” – former RAF F8 Meteor VZ467 now flying in Temora is the oldest flying jet in the world…. Well it was when Flypast did a published survey…

Try Allelys Heavy Haulage if Nige (Bucc Society) can’t offer advice – Midland Air Museum have used them on more than one occasion and they shift aircraft / rail stock a lot so are used to awkward loads

😀 I recognise those close up shots of XF382 (back in days before its repaint). Worth mentioning too that the locks as seen in the pics are missing the vital “Remove Before Flight” banner/streamer/flag bit which would have always been seen in service. Basically a 1ft red and white striped pvc part.

Would this be a modelling related question or for some other reason Kev?

And if it had been a green Mk3 with mask I would have created any Wyvern parts to pattern…… (or dug some up from a dump I had created…. :diablo:)

Nice set of photos there – I must admit to a hint of jealousy about the weather today – wishing I could have been at a show like this….

    I’m getting impatient about Kemble’s event now…..lol 😀
