Congratulations with the award.
The weather forecast was so bad that I changed my mind and didn’t go to Yeovilton as intended. 😡 There will be a next time. 🙂
Nice pictures. Thanks for sharing. I was there at thursday. It was a great airshow. I haven’t had the time to select my own photo’s. If there a some acceptable ones, I will post a couple of them later. The display line is rather far from the beach, which doesn’t help to make good shots. On thursday our Dutch F16 didn’t drop flares either.
Do the Horsemen fly local Mustangs or do they bring their own?
Lot of goods pics here. Thanks for posting.
I really like those dramatic (wide-angle) shots. ´Black arrows´ of the PdF are great too.
They won’t get much better than these! Thanks for posting.
Wouldnt it be wonderful to be able to say ‘A lancaster flew over’ and have a meaningful discussion about which one it might have been.
That would be great indeed. Maybe we will ever achieve this. If people start to rebuild such aircraft with only a little bit of original material. There were times that there was also only one Spitfire, Hurricane, Mustang etc. available for surprise attacks. Let’s keep positive.
You probably know this already but our local paper Bournemouth echo had a peice about yeovilton and that the Italian frecce tricolour where attanding.
can any one confirm please?
Although I have no doubt that FL will be a great airshow as allways, I’ll go to Yeovilton this year. My family wanted a change. There will be a Legends next year.
Wow, there are some great shots there.
The Hurri-bomber flew again last Friday – just fyi 🙂
Great news indeed. Hope to see her at Yeovilton.
Great shots. 1st one (Spit & Hunter) is my favourite.
Please keep boring us.
A bit more of a serious answer. Prior to the airshow the air force asked around at a few of Dutch aviation message boards for a achievable wish list (achievable meaning: no Japanese F-2s, Iranian F-14s etc). The Vulcan appeared very high on most lists. So I would assume it was booked by popular demand.
Is that also the reason that there were no WWII combat aircraft?
Great shots!!
It was a good show. Could have done with less diplay teams though. They saved the Red Arrows till the end, which is fair for the others.
I haven’t seen the Wright Flyer, probably because I was far from the centre line (close to the Vulcan ;)).
The NH90 was from Italy. It flew after the Turkish Stars (which did a great job too) and after the show.
