Peykan P224 is the first of the Sina1 craft launched on 29-9-2003. Same name and pennant no. as Combattante II class sunk in 1980 by Iraq. Two more of these vessels were building.

Was she made out of wood? Could she have been the old tender to HMAS Lonsdale at Port Melbourne? (closed 1992). May have then moved to Cerberus, if she was still serviceable.

Thought this might be of interest. The Attack class sure were midgets.
According to Combat Fleets of the World 2005-06 from 2003 onwards only 4 Thai A7’s will be kept in service thru 2008, with the remaining acft used for spares to keep these flying.

Indeed there was a cruiser in the 2nd WW and a Leander class frigate commissioned in 1964.
