    8. The Rank Group, which has just shed the last vestiges of its film interests, once merged to become Rank/Castle Rock/Turner films, known in the trade as RCRT films.

imagine answering the phone with :

    Good Morning, Arsie, Artie Films!

    😮 😀

The only way would be to have a full transport category CofA (along with the associated costs)

Still wouldn’t work as you would be a passenger, and trhe aircraft flies under permit. Gift aid is only a way of increasing the amount of money the charity gets from your donation.

edit: From what I can remember, maybe someone else can confirm, aircraft flying on ‘permit to fly’ can only carry the number of people required for the safe operation of the aircraft. This precludes the carrying of extra ‘passengers’.

I think the nearest thing would be the uk tax systems ‘gift aid’, which only applies to donations to registered charities. From the inlad revenue web site:

Did you know that by taking some simple steps when giving money to charity you could make your donation go much further?

    Use Gift Aid for individuals
If you’re a UK taxpayer give the charity a simple Gift Aid declaration. This will enable the charity to reclaim an amount equivalent to the basic rate tax paid on the amount donated. This means that for every £1 you give to charity, the charity will be able to claim an additional 28p from the Inland Revenue. If the charity to which you are giving does not mention Gift Aid, ask.

    2 to the power 10

    2^10 = 1024

    all to do with binary:
1111111111 in binary is 1023 in decimal
    10000000000 in binary is 1024

Well, if you put it that way, there’s not question what I’d like a go in….!! 😉

That was taken as read, which is why it was excluded 🙂

For me, any model of pre-war Percival aircraft. Again a family connection. My father served his apprenticeship as a toolmaker at Percival. Or an Auster.

At this stage in my flying career I’d rather spend the 1200-1400 quid and 6 months on lessons. Although, now that torique contact lenses are available as disposables I am tempted to go back to contacts. The only reason I stopped was the cost of the solutions.

If only my eyes were like an ex boss, long sighted in one eye and short sighted in the other!
