    Biggin should be ok and the south coast, Gravesend and Dover may be inclement,
    I am sure the Big Wing will be airborne on time

    Also the channel is full of Me109s, 110s, He111s Dorniers, Junkers, Welingtons, Lancasters Halifax, Mustangs, and half a hundred other types not to mention ship wrecks, mines , ordnance Im making my own head spin here!

    I was told that if the pilot was too low that would have caused the plane to be set alight, it that true or not please?

    The exhausts at night used to glow and also show flame of the unburnt gasses, this may of been what was seen by the eye witnesses.
