Both Lancs left Coningsby at Lunchtime today and headed off down south

Was this to beat the clag of today as they are off to Guernsey and Jersey airshows?
Any ideas of times they may come back?
Stearman heading South west
MK356 flew just east of Stevenage this afternoon accompanied by another Spit. I checked FR 24 but only MK356 was showing. The flight went from Coningsby to near Old Warden, then back north of Peterborough then back to display at Old Warden then on past Stevenage to North Weald out over Essex and a fly by somewhere then up to Cambridge Airport and a few fly bys out over Bury St Edmunds then back home. All in about 90 mins. 🙂
The searfch on FR24 picked up the flight using the word SPIT. Are there bvious search criteria for the Lancaster and Hurricanes? Also how many of the BBMF show up on FR24?
I think it is only newly restored BBMF aircraft that show up on FR24 as their transponders are the older versions I think.
Trumper, I agree, very quiet indeed.
BBMF Spitfire Mk.LF1Xe just lifted from conningsby on FR24
Sorry may be an ad for parts
Viz in Essex very poor, was hoping much better northwards so everyone could see the Lancasters, I am off to Old Warden tomorrow to see the Comet !!!
Canberra south of the Isle of Man heading to Portrush on flightradar24
Bronco over Ballermena also now on FR24
But Moggs, what could be buried under the bumps??? hmmm?
My ebay was completely deleted and when I tried to sort out a new password I was told my account had never existed ! today I had to renew a password and its back, some have lost all listings and purchases along with feedback back to zero for others.
Well done to every single one involved in this engine change
Hi David, I do think if it happened the BBMF would lead the formation, not sure they allow to be led?
Makes sense , and well explaind by BBMF
I feel sorry for the many who will be attending or were to attend today but lets hope the majority do get to see the 3 Lancasters together.
Did I not notice also a new hangar going up at North Weald?
Are you all sure that these aircraft are not heading for Biggin Hill?
