When both Lancaster’s passed overhead yesterday I not only see two of them but the sight and sound seem to prompt this picture in my head of 20 or thirty passing, the sound is all encompassing, the sight is one not to be forgotten.
This duo will be remembered for many years.
Right over my head at about 1000 foot, both Lancasters heading to Clacton and over Bicknacre, spitfire and I think a Hurricane were up in the clouds playing.
It is a massive shame but I think a good call by BBMF/CWPH teams, have to keep these aeroplanes and crew safe.
Met here in Essex is gusting to around 24mph at the mo.
