I hope she does not read this or we will see you gone before the Chipmunk 😀
The wing and power plants on the Stirling held it back for sure along with the split bomb bay, a lovely aircraft indeed but still the Lanc takes it as a pretty aeroplane.

And for my fourpence worth which I have stated here before, I fully concur with Hindenburg. It is up to the individual what he charges for HIS stock of items. I know many have laughed at prices on eBay and even aviation artifact websites at their prices posted, I know a few good deals have been done under the asking prices and very near the prices, If the vendor holds what you want it is worth as much as you someone wants to pay for it.
Some here think it is their god given right to spout that “its not worth that, he must be joking”
Good luck to all you sellers, Ebay or private websites, it’s good to know you taken the time, effort and forethought to hold on to this stuff, just imagine if we were around at the end of 1945 what we would of kept or sort to of put away for the future…….. Crated Spitfire anyone?

Merlin or Alison over Billericay area about 5pm tonight heard not seen.
Hi Ian,
Crikey! that scrubbed up well!! And Deox C is?……………………..

I use Deox C and Deox Gel, fantastic products http://www.bilthamber.com/corrosion-treatments
I was hoping to get down but here in sunny Essex we had a few inches of snow which was not to much of a problem but the wind blew it into the roads and we had nearly a 3 foot drift in our lane so no chance of getting out.
It sounds like all that got there had a great time, well done to the organisers.
Hopefully now I can get to Shoreham then to Old sarum for the next one.

It was up last week and got bids then pulled, Not cricket really is it suddenly pulling things once bids are on but maybe there was an error in listing
Nice little cockpit though I think it was for sale about seven years or so ago and sold at a low price.
I remember all the Phantoms had to be destroyed and when Mark secured this one a few people were upset as they could not even have a cockpit saved.
Hanningfield Metals I think had 40 Phantoms to scrap and remember seeing some of them at their yard in Stock Essex> I did managed to secure some bits and pieces when they were mistaken as Buccaneer 😀
