BH, what do you get when items are hugely under priced? SILENCE !
I doubt many here would email the seller to tell him his item should be 10K not 10p.
If items do not sell for I am sure prices do fall or the collector/owner just does not bother again, I sit on bits but I just cannot be bothered to sit and list them, they just keep one of the barns warm in winter.
TA
I am surprised in how nice the metalwork is in where the tank has been removed, Excellent !
Fantastic news update, and I look forward to reading many more and hope to visit this year sometime.

I see the Shack turret is under offer ! so how much would a bid be worth ? knowing i sold one for 750 a few years back this one up for 2.5k?
My bet is about 1200 to 1800 now,
Anyone want to play?
Hunter 18k
Is that actually true that an item is worth what anyone is prepared to pay?
If you look at any number of car price guides they will tell you what you would expect to pay for an example -that is effectively setting a market value for an item. Exactly the same applies to buying a can of soup at the supermarket -one for sale at 90 pence and an identical item at 1.50 -the cheaper item will set market value and to a certain degree the retailers will
work to RRP’s and the guidance of the suppliers. Obviously non sale of an item will dictate a price change.
In terms of EBAY you can ask what you like for something -without a guideline price purchasers are in the dark to something’s market value. So if someone decides to pay 1 million for a Hunter it doesn’t mean they are worth that -it means that example sold for it – the market value for a Hunter in static condition is something like 10K based on previous sales .As for the ‘they have it -you don’t ‘ mantra – somewhat meaningless -should everyone refrain from discussing the provenance and cost of an item? It is a forum where people discuss matters pertinent to historic aviation .
Not a poke at you David a poke at lots of nasal voiced armchair valuers of items they do not own.
I understand your valuing of the Hunter based on a previous but there are people out there that cannot believe something like that is so cheap, Their Opinion of course but also not able to house such a beast.
I noted that the Shack turret was also mentioned as to high and the poster has a shed full ! sell sell sell, as then they will find a level, must admit I have not seen another for sale in years and it was £250.00, i bought it ! sold it four days later for 750 to a guy who wanted it as a garden ornament.
Oh well horses for courses, I was going to use it as a cloche but the 500 bonus was tooooo tempting.
Anyway back to ebay
I am one of the LEAVE IT ALONE brigade, and proud of it !
Can I tut tut tut too?
Looking at the price I can think of twenty thousand reasons not to contact him !
Its your choice not to buy and the guys choice to put whatever price he wants on HIS OWN item for sale.
Any item is worth as much as someone wants to pay, if things do not sell it just means that its not worth it to Mr n Mrs whoever looked at it.
I love the stamping feet and tut tut tutting, its his to do what he likes with the same as some other items stated as being overpriced, they have it you dont.
Bang Ding,,,,, TA out
the stainless pin reminds me of some part of a browning mount, but not sure
TA,
I was thinking that some of the cargo carriers (and, indeed, some pax carriers!!) that carry dodgy freight to dodgy locations may be getting a bit long in the tooth – if not clapped-out. Could be “historic”, but I will abide by the decision(s) of “Them Upstairs” (and their friends The Rockers!).
Resmoroh
I would say post away,I am sure the mods have looked here already.

TA,
On a matter of strict technicality for inclusion in/on this thread can one Post ‘unusual’ instances observed on http://www.flightradar24.com/. Or does one have to shufti the crates with one’s own personal shuftiscopes?
Resmoroh
Hi Resmoroh .
I think it could be down to the ‘mods’ but I do not have a problem, I do follow flightradar24 myself.
Regards
TA
Aha! she has done well to survive for so long living out in the elements, better condition than if kept in a woodon crate
