Spoiler flap ram??
I think Lee Proudfoot has flown in an out there a few times with survey teams, I think during the late 1990s.
not sure if he looks in this place, Im sure he could enlighten about Ski landings
Shacklelton. Lancaster. as many Hurricanes in the air at one time with a nice BoB scramble.
to be honest I am looking forward to seeing any vintage machine in the skies this year.
Can we have something like the Fighter Meet back please.
TA
Hi Moggy.
I feel that again it depends on the aeroplanes history. A BoB with a good story behind it will have a + effect.
Now if Mr Saunders had found DBs Spit plate in France it would be worth far more than a Sergeant pilot one.
what about Hurricane/ Defiant? also lets say a Dam Buster Lancaster plate ? Not anything like the Spit or Hurri as a very prohibitive rebuild on a Lancaster.
My guess on value would be 10 to 50k depending on Make/model/history.

Ps. sorry about any smelling mystakes. as no glasses on and using a phone.
Are they boxed?
Im now convinced German. Dornier or one of the 88 variants.
Sir….. did you really have to bring that up ?:diablo:
Exactley ! think you hunch is correct Andy. I have been looking on B26 upper surface shots but cannot find anything.
Im sure i once had a simular off a german aircraft but was aroung 6 inch dia with red inside.

yes the chain cannot say for sure on that. the paint looked white to me which is what made me think yank.
what is the Herman for open ?
Andy. I think it is like a German green that gives it that hint. Green so upper surface. I was first thinking fuel drain access but its not going to be green.
looks yank to me, access to what? is this like four inch diameter ?

Looks like a scrap yard and maybe it was the 5th JU88 picked up by them.
Yes I note the stereotypical flat cap for uop norrrthh but no Whippet in sight or pigeon or to come to think of it a loaf of Hovis ! 😀
