R4118
The Jug is a pretty heavy old girl to sling around and is not like the P51, Corsairs etc have you considered the owner may wish for her to be displayed more sedately at a lower ‘G’ + or – also the new rules of keeping the aircraft in a tighter boundary brings more issues for the P47 its just a thought
On FR24
2 seat Spits giving rides
G-BMSB out of Biggin
and
G-CICK out of Headcorn over the south coast cliffs at this time 11.09
The TF has duel controls IE like the T6 etc the others are just a ‘Jump Seat’ you sort of more squeeze in.
If you get offerd a ride in anything i say take it !
The canopy is a fair bit longer its easier to notice if the two are parked together its much harder if they are not,
How sad RIP Sir I hope you are have a nice catch up with the others. A true hero of our time.
Did not see or hear anything in the Fairsted area of Essex
They seemed to of pushed a 1/4 of a mile further north this time unlike the Queens Trooping of the Colour , they normally go over our heads
Love it, always liked the 78th fg markings.
as is always said, what colour will you paint you’re Mustang?
I did see the BBMF holding and the rest of the flypast apart from the rotor stuff
Looked a great show lovely photos thank you
Hey I just had a thought, now they could recreate the opening of the BoB film ! the French Chateau where the 109’s (Buchons) manage to strafe the airfield even building the Chateau again 1968/2018 !!!
May have to go to this and then the 80th BoB if I am still around :dev2:
John, Anthony Hutton and is that Norman Lees the pilot of Old Crow?
Great update as per usual YR.
Sad news of Johns departing I knew him very well during the early days RIP he will definitely be missed but you can bet he will be on the airfield im sure still you cannot get john even after passing to leave The Squadron!!!
Spitfire MK356 just passed west of me heading south
