Ok here are a list of good vantage points the flight will be directly above or within a quarter of a mile ish to you

    from BOREHAM Essex
    Writtle
    >>>>(HYLANDS PARK should be a good vantage point if you stand and face towards Chelmsford city center they pass just NW but not overhead)
    Highwood
    Blackmore
    Stondon Massey
    Kelvedon Hatch
    Navestock Side
    Hainault
    Fairlop Waters
    Barkingside
    Wansted
    Leyton
    Hackney Marshes
    Stratford
    City of London
    Buck House

Please remember you will need a good view around as the list above is going to be close but nearer London you get the lower they will go so a horizon will be needed low
Please do not blame me if you miss it I just used a pen and paer on a map form Buck House to Boreham Essex two known points.

it basically crosses the railway line at Boreham so park and ride perfect.
Hatfield Peverel station is perfect they fly just about a quarter of a mile NORTH of the station
Blackmore is also good I think Somewhere like Ingatestone may also be good

They use the same track every year I have seen them

I remember when you never would see
    4 Spitfires together
    4 Hurricanes together
anymore than 2 or 3 WWII aeroplanes at a show normally BBMF in its early days.
4 Buchons ! fantastic and some in BoB movie colours cant get any better can it? wait a min how about a CASA 2.111 or as I like to call it a ‘Heinkel’

Any moaners who think the shows put on today are not up to scratch have the option not to go, but also have their own opinions on things.
I have not been to Legends or any other DX show for about 4 years now that is purely that I am really air-showed-out after going to shows and sometimes being part of them in the 80s and 90s
North Weald and Farnborough in the 60s I can remember and then DX NW Farnborough & Biggin in the 70s, Great Warbirds, NW, DX Farnborough BIggin and plenty of others over the uk in the 80s, 90s and into the first decade of the 2000s, including a couple of Old Wardens from above and below but now I get more excited seeing stuff flying over home.
For me the travelling queuing watching queuing travelling has stopped me to be honest but I will do A Legends hopefully and an Old Warden before I depart this mortal coil.

To all who are organising events this year and the future, well done, thank you I know what hard work goes into it all and with todays CAA rules a hundred times more work shifting paperwork and being liable.
Enjoy this years events at DX not many places pull it off like DX can

Mustang 51 good post, i am in my 60s i can remember a time here in the UK one Spitfire made an airshow great I never take any of these aeroplanes for granted and thank the owner/collectors/keepers of all of them and allowing us to see them perform. Where I live I get good sightings of passing warbirds sometimes on a daily basis sometimes on a weekly I never fail to look up and think “that was nice how lucky am i” here in lots of parts of the UK you will not see a warbird or vintage from one year to the next.
The companies out there turning around the aeroplanes like the Buchons from the BoB film in months used to take years and sometimes decades the Sywell guys must have more hours in a day than any other human to do what they do.
I would like to take some of the moaners back to those days Ok you may see 22 Hunters or 18 Lightnings but they were our airforce of the time not someones hard earned cash.
