FB I was taking as shot and thought that may be the bottom price, things have shot up a bit since I last had dealings with things in the air.
Air to Air also has a problem of trust, the pilot of the Spit/Hurri would not really want someone he does not know formating on him he may be happy to formate on them

Welcome Phil, look forward to your photos I am sure if its Spitfire the right people are here to help.
Good news no fatalities I wonder if he banged out or was very lucky just to walk away?
I know that bit of coast line and have been going up there since the mid 70s and the fishermen were always getting nets caught on the wrecks and lots used to be brought back and dumped in Aldeburgh, plenty of American stuff along with British.
I remember a nice lump of geodetic from a Welly some big spares that were B17. plenty of bits wash up still on the beaches there everytime there is a big storm also I remember B17 Oxy bottles being used a Buoys.

Brian, I did ask politely and I did not link to others photographs obviously you did not manage to grasp the reason I started this post or was it something you wished you had thought of?
many threads have been started outside of the DX thread and many inside the DX thread have gone way off topic its the way it is.
It may not of sunk in but I will explain again why I started this thread .
Lancaster PA474 is a very popular aeroplane and deserved its own thread on this overhaul and the next part coming up so that many years after we are all dust someone may wish to gain knowledge of what went on last winter and here it is complete with idiots who cant see that fact.
Your camera and do what you wish with it as I would hate you to walk off in a huff with your ball so the rest of us kids here miss out on you excellent coverage you nad many others do in the DX Diary. I am one of many for whom that trip is somewhat a non regular event and if I could take great photos I would but im crap at it.
So whats the next thing in The Stephenson hangar, any ideas?
