No I doubt very much they used to change WWII aeroplane wheels !!
I did see a Spitfire Sunday pm over Kent near the Detling VOR heading for the coast, to far away to see which or even if a 2 seater.
Yes I agree, I think any issue would of been on social media within seconds.
top notch
The Battle of Britain film is a particularly tedious and boring film. Yes we all love the aviation but having to sit through two hours of tedious scripts and poor acting does not a good film make.
My aviation three would be 6 o’clock high, Angels one five and dark blue world.
How about 12 O’clock High, twice as good as 6 O’clock Low !!!!
Is that not from above the wait gunner position?
Love the first image David, by the way is that red ship the one Lee Proudfoot used to take down to the antarctic ?
WHEEL MEAT AGAIN
Aha TT, why could I not remember they are horizontal stabilizers ? and I did know they had enlarged fins on PA474 of which has been discussed here before.
Interesting stuff this Lancaster stuff
Cracking Cheese Gromit
Vickers Spitfire IXB G-BMSB from Biggin heading on up along the SE edge of the Stansted TMZ towards Braintree late yesterday going at a fair rate of knots to miss the weather I would expect
a more Lancaster type fins I am guessing or the tail may be becoming unservicable just before the major
We all know that genuine sellers can often list items they believe to be a so&so and are not trying to deceive anyone but who would want to allow someone to by chance purchase a bit of Spitfire that has more likely come off a car than an aeroplane, Im happy to say it aint what it is if i really know i am correct
I see this just posted of FACEACHE
We are hopeful that the Lancaster will meet her target for flights at the end of the month – but we are still having troubles with the fuel tank fit, so she still may not meet those dates.
Ken.
