I have always thought that dramatic change of the Spiteful to the Mark XIV is the same as the Mark XIV to the Mark II/V, but the Spitfire name was always retained in the latter circumstance.
You compare a Mark XIX/22/24 to a Mark II/V and I bet there’s very few interchangeable components.
Is there any chance that there will be a beautiful Beaufighter ever flying again ?
