    Yes point taken.

However, given more materials, fuel etc,…the likes of aircraft like the Gotha Go-229 which was virtually ready to fly would have given the Allies a headache or 2 (assuming it did fly like it’s designer intended).
All I’m say is the potential was there. The resources weren’t.

Any sign of five TBM Avengers anywhere? They went missing from the Bermuda Triangle just after the war….and a bunch of airliners….and a Martin Mariner rescue plane…and the Cyclops, a US Navy ship…and….

    Mark

The 5 TBM’s ended up at Close Encounters of the Third Kind

IIRC there have been at least three of these SAS Are You Tough Enough programmes. One was filmed in the UK somewhere and another I’ve seen was filmed somewhere overseas in a jungle/rain forest environment and another in a desert environment.

Which one(s) have you seen in NZ TNZ?

We’ve only seen the first one in the UK.
The only thing that let it done was the announcer as previously mentioned.

So, take the idiot out of it and it’s good.
    There ya go, Don :diablo:

Reckon he should have done the course too !!!
You’re right he was a little lame for the type of programme.

There was a Kiwi Instructor on that course I noticed also.
Good to hear the accent !!

Good on you Dave for saying to the rest of the world what us NZers know !!!
Was a very sad day when the strike wing was disbanded.

I did see the advert for the RNZAF programme just after I finished watching that excellent series “SAS: Are you tough enough?”

I was hoping there was something interesting to replace it and looks like could be quite good.

However, none of it even comes close to replicating actually being there.
You Northern Hemisphere peoples have to make the trip !!!!
    The airshow is truly superb.

    Hi John,

I’m still working on a method to get up to Auckland with Mr Gnome.
Dave sent me an email with the itinery. Sounds like a real hoot.

I’ll keep in touch regarding the plan.
