I’ve just been on a day return to Dublin today from LBA and this new service was up and running! Didn’t seem to be many people making calls but many sent texts etc, it didn’t bother or annoy me as much as I thought it would have to be honest!!:p

That is great news, jet2 have a great range of routes!! But also quite spooky for me, as on my Airline 5 sim, my jet2 also had flights from LBA to Madrid, Heraklion, Paphos, La rochelle and avignon:cool:

    Wierd lol:)

Great news for LBA, we were looking for flights to crete for next year so looks like Jet2 will provide the answer:)

(p.s, who was the titan operating for?)

    Thanks

Very interesting report with great pics! Madeira looks beautiful, and the First Choice seem very good, I want to try them before the merger with Thomsonfly.:)

It was mentioned that Thomsonfly pre-assign seating before the flight and I’m flying with them for the 3rd time in a few weeks. Does this mean that if I dont pay to select seats, I can’t choose my own at the self service check in kiosks at Manchester?

Regarding TOM, my first experience wasnt too great, with a 24 hour delay, however, on my flight to Verona with them last August, I found them ok, nothing too special but adequate. However, I have noticed a real slip in their reputation since changing from Britannia. It’s a shame, becuase in it’s time, Britannia was a the top of its game IMO.

Early morning, from 06:00am to about 08:00 there are dozens of charter flights heading out, as well as any night stoppers such as KLM, Czech, aswell the arrivals of many Transatlantic services. These subsequently depart from about 10:00am to 12:00pm. T2 in the early morning can be chaos, last july I had a TOM. flight at 08:40, and had to queue for about an hour to get through security, and about 30 mins to check in.

    Thank you for the comments.

They’re rather generous scores for a budget airline..have you traveled much??

Well I wouldnt say I’m very well travelled, I think Ive flown on about 17 (return) flights and I’m 15 now. We usually take only 1 holiday abroad each year and another holiday in the UK.
I think the scores reflect the flight. It was on time, the plane was spotless and the seats were more than comfy for the 2 hour flight, the food was very nice and the crew were one of the nicest bunch Ive flown with. However, the flight was a charter flight, not a low cost.

    Thanks

Thanks for the replies. Looking at the seat map we’ve chose 2 DEF and 3ABC on the 752 as it shows those rows having no seats infront. Also i’ve counted only 220 seats on the 752, do all jet 2’s 757’s have less than the standard 233/5 seats that most charters have?

    Thanks,

Whoops, I stand corrected then, I thought that to get that range the A319 needed extra fuel tanks:rolleyes:

The A321-200’s max range is 2650nm, thats with only 180pax, and the distance to New York is approximatley 3350nm. It’s not hard to work out the maths. The only reason the A319 can operate the flight is because it will be used by airlines like private air, in a premium configuration and with extra fuel tanks.
