I collect dust*. Does that count? :diablo:
* As well as model aircraft, diecast buses and model trains.
Garyw (#3): No idea, but I wish it’d go back to wherever it came from, and no, clearly not. :D:rolleyes:
A teensy-weensy bit of thread drift:
My partner’s daughter’s boyfriend is obsessed with conspiracy theories and all the associated drivel (Illuminati, New World Order, etc. etc.).
He claims he is one of the “enlightened ones” who knows what is REALLY happening (I can tell you that pal – You’re deluded), and, to “combat” any Govt./ Illuminati funny business, he:
– Has installed a water filter to his mains supply to counteract population-controlling drugs.
– Has installed CCTV (the house has at least 16 internal and external cameras. (Err, shades of 1984/ Big Brother? IMO, more conspiracy theorist hypocrisy.)
– Will not go outside because of the danger from chem-trails.
– Will not obtain a passport.
– Refuses to work because he doesn’t want to pay taxes to a “corrupt” Govt.
Those are just a few. Yet, when I pointed out to him that just by owning a car, claiming benefits, and having an Internet connection the relevant authorities can trace him, I got the “Yeah yeah, but…” response so beloved of him and his screwy mates. (I forget what he said, as I tend to switch off when he opens his gob.:diablo:)

Not again…
As well as the paper bag, she ought to wear a stainless-steel balaclava and a small horse on her head. 😀

27vet,
Just for you: Ballasting Track
There are many “how-to” guides on the ‘Net, but this one is the best I have come across, and contains the advice I followed when ballasting my own track.
HTH,
Don

PanzerJohn, I certainly am. 😀
Here’s my effort (still under construction): DonB’s Loft Layout
27vet,
That is an amazing layout, with possibly the most realistic water I have ever seen! Thanks for posting the photos.
tornado64,
While you are correct in that Bachmann and Hornby products are indeed made in the same factory (forget the name), you are unfortunately very wide of the mark regarding the chassis – They have been updated considerably in the main Hornby range and are most definitely NOT old Airfix mechanisms! (I have several such locomotives.)
Most of the old Airfix GMR products are now in the cheaper Hornby Railroad range, Hornby now owning most of the Dapol/ Airfix GMR tooling. However, some (if not all), of the models in question also have updated drive mechanisms; this is also true of the older Hornby models, also now in the Railroad range.

WB556,
I would like to join the Fast Acting Recovery Team.
Would I require Special High Intensity Training? 😀

That hoard is not exactly “news”, but nonetheless a splendid discovery.
Of course, what one should remember is that buried gold does not corrode, unlike buried Spitfires! 😀
It is certainly an impressive collection, and some of it is in an online catalogue:

Could it be from a Fairey Battle?
I seem to recall that 98 Squadron were based in Iceland for a while.
At work at the mo, so don’t have the relevant data to hand…
JT442,
Actually, yes.
One of the area managers (not a popular chap) was due for his visit; the store manager thought it a good idea to play B.S. Bingo during his pep-talk.
Al,
“There’s no ‘I’ in ‘team’.” was used on me once.
My reply?
“No, but there’s a ‘u’ in c***!”
