I’m sure I read in a recent news story about a WW2 pilot who was killed because he was “unable to eject”.
I wasn’t born at the time of the Apollo 11 mission (I was born in December 1969), but I always have had an interest in what happened in ‘my’ year, possibly the greatest achievement in recent history.
A true hero and pioneer. R.I.P. Neil.

On another Forum, someone has posted that the Kittyhawk has been recovered, and is now safe.
Is anyone ‘in the know’ at liberty to confirm or deny this?
What of the human remains that were discovered? Any further news?
Thanks.
I have to admit, that I’d not heard of the HMS Loyalty incident.
Thank you Kev.

Halfords’ self-sealing cycle inner tubes.
According to the guff on the box, “seals holes up to 3mm diameter”.
Bulldust.
Went for a cycle ride today, a fairly long distance one for me.
The whole ride passed without incident, until I went over something in the road… hissssssssss
I attempted to re-inflate the tyre, but it was having none of it. Fortunately, I was quite near home.
Upon investigation, there was a small (considerably less than 3mm!) hole in my so-called self-sealing innertube.
I was going to complain, but quite frankly, after my last experience with Halfords’ customer service, I can’t be bothered going through all the ar$eache again, so I repaired the puncture, all the time cursing the very name of Halfords.

Great builds, I particularly like the X-1 and Jaguar. 🙂
Very nice builds, Arthur. I particularly like your bombers.
Scott,
Please send Jim my very best wishes.
You also have a PM. 🙂

Tornado, I was going to write a long diatribe on your seeming inability to use the “shift” key and correct punctuation, but it has been a long day and, quite frankly, I can’t be bothered.
Superb model, Spitfire Pilot!
I particularly like the interior details and the crime scene is a nice touch – Perhaps you could include another cameo featuring a couple of BTP round the back of the ‘box kicking seven shades of sh– out of the perpetrator? :diablo::D
…it is more like a G.W.R. box that Airfix modelled…
Last time I checked, Oakham was in Rutland, and very much in (former) L.M.S. territory!

BTW tornado64 – I fixed the spelling and grammar for you! :diablo:;)
I collect dust*. Does that count? :diablo:
* As well as model aircraft, diecast buses and model trains.
