    No way! 😡

I think that PMN and Steve Rowell sum up the reasons why perfectly.

PMN – You have opened a can of worms here! 😀

    1. T.V. adverts.
    2. T.V, adverts being so much LOUDER than the programme that they interrupt. (Thank God for the ‘mute’ button.)
    3. Radio D.J.s talking over the last 15 seconds (or more) of a track.
    4. Sensationalist/ poorly-researched B.S. in the “News”.*
    5. The incessant references to MMGW/ climate change/ CO2 in 90% of current documentaries.**

    * Classics include any reports on air or rail accidents.
** Repeating the same old tired mantra will NOT change my opinion.
Didn’t Goebbels use the same strategy? Tell ’em a lie often enough, and loudly enough, and people will believe it to be true?!

At 7000 bucks, it has to be cheaper and less stressful than the real thing. 😀

Some more. In no particular order:

    1. Pigeons/ doves/ Rats with wings. Noisy, messy, destructive things.
    2. Stupid warnings on food packets, as mentioned here, and, I suppose, covered in (4.) here.
    3. Animal cruelty.
    4. Revisionist historians. Instead of writing your apologetic claptrap, go and play with a jigsaw.*
    5. Smokers/ smoking.

    * Although the alternative definition would be perfectly acceptable… :dev2:

I heard it was to be at Tonbridge… 😀

That article reminds me of one of those hilariously mis-typed church notices:

Weight Watchers will meet at 7 PM at the First Presbyterian Church. Please use large double door at the side entrance.

Aircraft have hangars so are hangared overnight.

(Railway) engines have sheds so are _______ overnight.

    Any guesses?

    Answer is “stabled”.
Railway engines were once known as “iron horses”.

    I confess – I am a railway enthusiast.
