Nothing on jethros.
I’ve heard rumours, but nothing confirmed as yet.
It’s all to do with the ‘Flying Start’ charity set up by BA in association with ‘Comic Relief’ Flight dep LHR 13:00 and returns between 14:00 and 14:30.
The info I have is that Ian Allen only sold a handful of seats, so BA chose to sell seats at a minimum of £100 with proceeds to charity.
The proposed enthusiasts charter which was scheduled for 06 Nov with G-CPET has been cancelled.
Looks like this is now back on.
Out of all these radar sites that are coming online, FlightRadar24 still tops them all in my ‘umble opinion.

Just a pity about the 5min delay with the display
Does anyone know the exact retirement date for BA’s 757’s?
G-CPER / S / T all retire from scheduled service 30 Oct. However, G-CPET is retained to operate an enthusiasts charter 06 Nov
Re Flybe EMB175 order
Deano
35 firm orders, 65 options and purchase rights on another 40.
Essentially 105 options.
Am I correct in the assumption that the 40 ‘purchase right’ options means that Flybe have negotiated the price and have the option but not the obligation to acquire the a/c. Whereas the 65 options will require further purchase negotiations.

MOL. Often blunt, often outspoken. This time he’s hit the nail on the head.
Just to add a liitle more to this. Varsity ceased ops 08 Mar. I was advised the following day that Blue Islands had secured a lease deal with Links Air for the Jetstream G-JIBO to operate for them during the forthcoming summer season. To my mind on face value, this does seem to have been arranged rather quick.
The plan at the moment is to acquire one B767-328-ER, PR-VAN 27427 / 579 ex Varig. This a/c is currently in Abu Dhabi undergoing heavy maintenance after which it will gain its Jet2 livery. It is due to deliver to the airline during April and enter service during May.
The second a/c is being considered and is yet to be confirmed, but if acquired, it will be from the same source.
I THINK (And stand to be corrected) the plan is to see how they get on with the first a/c before committing to a second.
Initial reports from the scene state that welded joints failed.
The a/c at the back in the above photo is Eastman Kodak’s Bombardier Global Express, N620K.
