2) Yes – April 2010
Another rumor that I heard was that BA were getting back 2 A320s back from Easyjet
That’s no rumour. G-TTOB due in service 01 Mar and G-TTOE due in service 01 May
Ren, BA are dropping Open Skies!
Are they??
My understanding is that Openskies has/will transfer to a French AOC and continue with the four a/c they currently have. This being the two transfered from mainline and the two acquired when they took over L’Avion (Elysair) However, all previously proposed expansion plans have been shelved. As a result, the remaining B757’s with BA mainline are for disposal, and in fact do now have a potential undisclosed new owner awaiting following a letter of intent to purchase.
This came about following GSM’s plans to dispose of their two B733’s
And you won’t get above 41000 now Concorde has gone.
Remember once hearing a Concorde flight northbound over Daventry at 410. Reckoned he could see the Clyde.
Wonder where they got their info from………….:)
G-XLAJ was delayed and didn’t leave Larnaca until yesterday. Flew LCA/KEF 14 Sep.
G-XLAD left East Midlands 15 Sep for Istanbul
C-GOAF left Newcastle 16 Sep for Lasham
A couple more photo’s
There are 2 leased to Air Italy Polska.
G-OPJB and ?
I think you mean it’s a Boeing B727-17
Hi
I’ve just heard that the 2 new Boeing 767-200’s G-BYAA/B that Silverjet were set to aquire have been sent back and put into service with Thomsonfly.com.
By all acounts one of the said birds has been operating for Monarch.
Dose anyone know if this true??
They are certainly back with Thomsonfly and flying for the likes of Monarch and XL
Can’t help but wonder about the strain on those hinges!
Yup, I have this as returning to Air Atlanta 16 Nov 07, and still active.
Wasn’t it ‘BEA Airtours’ whilst the Comet’s were employed
Correct, BEA Airtours 1969 – 1974, British Airtours 1974 – 1988. Commonly known though just as Airtours.
