I remember the Kegworth disaster where immediately afterwards everybody was saying the same thought of thing……until it was later found out that he shut down the wrong engine by mistake! So much for that Captain’s piloting skills in that he caused the accident in the first place!

If I were said captain, I’d now be seeking legal advice!

G-CEOD will be lease to Virgin Nigeria for their Lagos flights.

Are you 100% certain of that?. I’ve been advised that the Vitgin Nigeria deal has been cancelled and that the a/c, after spending four weeks with Air India covering G-CEFG which is on maint, has been placed elsewhere for the winter.

One has the gut feeling that if true, this is one decision that will be overturned.
