I’d agree with that but for one thing. It is not a show for serious motoring enthusiasts and it doesn’t pretend to be. I don’t think there’s any denying Clarkson and Hammond’s enjoyment of cars, but May certainly knows more technically about them than they do.

I would say that if TFC hasn’t announced anything no one else will know anything at all – bar speculation.

None of that surprises me. I reckon May is “you take me as you find me”. A true enthusiast. Hammond is smiles and japes up front but the ego has grown a tad on the large size. Clarkson’s ego is huge anyway and is the team bully.

It is, but topping the table sadly counts for nothing these days, in the ever commercialised world of sport they decided to have some pay off system so that fourth could still win some pot. And on the big day having had our ‘b’ team beaten by sarries at home they had the mentality to win on the day.
