I don’t either and I actually believe that the tabloids probably care far more than they think the public does. It seems to me that if someone takes the decision to “play away” he/she should take the consequences, however painful they may be for the family and friends. Taking refuge in the law in exchange for large amounts of money does not absolve the perpetrator of his/her responsibilities.

I have been patiently waiting for these, Anna.:D Thanks as always for a great pictorial record of a really good show, despite the flying programme disruption. Not having seen a “Meatball” in the air for ages I thought Dan Griffith’s excellent display showed it off to its best.

In the sense that whatever the BBC or any other broadcaster chooses to do we seem to be obliged to use euphemisms on this forum, so we can hardly be critical of others doing the same. I would use the word without compunction but suspect it would be perceived to infringe the CoC, and I would like to remain a member!!!

Me too – they are terrific pictures – no need for any acknowledgement. It’s enough to be able to see these venerable old workhorses still giving service.

Mine suffered the same fate but having read Tartan’s post I’ll have to try that solution.

The fact that you have had to resort to euphemism gives the answer to your question.

The bidding has reached £75,000! Unbelievable!

Perhaps a few of those bidders could bung a thou or two at the Vulcan. After all there would be something to show for it, whereas the value of that monstrous fascinator will be nil after a year or two…….;);)
