GA – for the purposes of accuracy I will re-phrase:

Sea levels are rising and falling all lover the globe. The extent of any rise in sea level likely to affect coastal built nuclear power stations lin the UK during their lifetime will be factored into the project. The rise over the last 40 years on the esast coast has been about 80mmn and in Cornwall by about 40mm In the north sea levels have fallen.

No point in answering ther second point as it is simply a ping pong match.

There is an extremely remote chance of our coastline being affected by a tsunami and an even remoter chance of it being of the magnitude of the Japanese one.

When the mods decide to close this thread an analysis of the overall best and worst by members would be interesting. I note that BA appears in both categories. Is this because the overall experience varies so much or that each individual’s perception of service quality differs considerably?

I can’t argue with that and as far as sea level rises being a spectre, that is all they are. Al Gore’s ludicrous claims in his ridiculous film have long been shown to be not worth the paper they were written on and there is no chance of a tsunami around any of our coasts but, as you say, the famous knee-jerk reaction will apply and so more doubt will be cast on the only truly viable low emmission method of electricity generation in large output currently available to us.

Based on reported past experience, I would have my doubts. I believe that other posters to this thread either made or advocated the making of approaches to eBay, based upon the probability that this propellor was not what it was represented to be. Did those people, or others, make approaches to eBay? If so, to what effect? Can anyone say what criteria eBay employ – in practice, rather than in print – for assessing complaints of alleged misrepresentations by sellers? Does eBay simply require the text of the advertisement to be amended or, if this is not forthcoming, does it force the withdrawal of the advertisement? Does it, in extreme cases, withdraw the seller’s registration to prevent the person from further selling on eBay – and, if so, what are the circumatances in which it does so? This is something of a grey area for me but others may have more knowledge and experience of this.
