As a responsible citizen, do you not think it is in fact your civic duty to report what you ‘know’ to a body such as the Food Standards Agency? Or does your morality not stretch that far?

I am seeking “evidence” from Lincoln 7 that there is substance in what he has been told, because I am highly sceptical. But, as ever, happy to be proved otherwise, notwithstanding your comment.

You are omitting the other serious objections which is that they are highly inefficient, expensive, hugely subsidised and so cost negative.

I think the two will sit alongside each other perfectly, and in fact complement each other. And I don’t see any parallel at all between this project and part of a Proctor on the roof of a hotel in Dublin…………..

I am sorry Pete, but times have moved on, and the likes of you and I have not in all entirety.
I can assure you, they have all the equipment needed to do the job, even bar code markers. Trust me on this one Pete, it’s true.

Barcode readers, of course, but do you mean barcode printers? I still maintain some involvement so, although I cannot disagree with what you have been told, I equally cannot take it at face value. Please PM me with more info on the kit these stores have “backstage”. Thanks.:)

Unless you are being sarcastic ( no smiley noted ) I cannot see the connection between Disney and the named, obviously interested, parties……:confused:

Point taken, only slight sarcasm intended. One suspects the project owes more to themes parks than it does to aircraft museums. As stated earlier, we have six Concordes in UK so putting one outdoors does not seem that unreasonable.

It probably does owe more to theme parks than museum, but if it attracts home grown tourists and youngsters as well as overseas tourists who learn something more of our heritage, does it actually matter?

However it surprises me, having spent a good few years in retail packaging, because the majority of items on the shelves come in packaging applied and ink jet printed by the manufacturer and the supermarket would not have the packaging equipment to repack and redate, and most certainly not by the night shift!

Indeed and when you look back and remember than despite the horror and confusion the show carried on with Neville Duke taking off and putting the Hunter through its paces in a shattering display, which even earned him a personal note from Churchill. I do not think this would happen today.
